Sank a hacker

  • I was playing with a friend last night and we had booty to turn in at an outpost. When we got to the outpost there were two sloops chillin at the dock. Not wanting to risk losing our goods or travel forever to another outpost, we sunk both the ships and finished off the remaining captains. When one of the ships sank (decked with hull and sail upgrade), it dropped a fair share of loot. No problem. We scoop up what we can whilst simultaneously selling off our own.

Immediately after selling off our goods we spot the same decked out sloop on a nearby island. We figure they can't have anything since it's been only a few minutes since we just sank them but we decide to pick a fight on the off chance they want an opportunity at revenge anyway. We roll up and they turn tail. After a 15-20 minute chase, we snipe the driver and he scuttles the ship. Out pops half a dozen chests, 10 golden chickens, half a dozen powder kegs, five skulls, and some miscellaneous other items (shiny objects, rice, etc.).

TLDR: Sank a ship, dropped loot. Sank the exact same ship minutes later, dropped even more loot.

  • Just because the boat looked similar doesn't mean it was the same player/players.... It's very common for people to buy the same ship designs. For example every where I go I see the same design I bought and I'm now regretting buying the best looking set. The only way to really confirm it was the same ship/people is by their user/gaming names! So did they have the same names or not?

If it was a hacker/same ship and can instantly get loot why would they even bother running from you? If it was a hacker and can they instantly spawn tons of loot they would have endless gold and have all 3 pieces of the ship not just two... They would be a pirate legend already and have the pirate legend ship. Every single peice of gear would be the most expensive......

I've been playing 4-6 hours a day since launch and I have all 3 ship upgrades and several other items along with 100k gold on me right now. I see no evidence of hacking here. I see very odd behavior though. Only noobs go to an outpost with loot and 2 other ships sitting there. Always take the time to go to an empty one because you can never predict the out come of random pirates.

I don't think they were spawning loot. I think they were probably using mods to find the loot for them. Though I don't know because they had skulls and animals which are harder to do in a short amount of time like that. I also don't think they were spawning loot because the loot they did have was mediocre, but plentiful. They had a ton of seafarers chests and foul skulls for example.

The first encounter they didn't run. The guy literally just stood there playing music when we shot his ship up. He then tried to swim a powder keg in the water but we killed him, he probably wanted a laugh. Later when we encountered him again, he was playing music and dancing again while looking at us. He was probably just hoping we'd leave.

I wish I had taken clips of the two instances in order to report him because I doubt just his gt would suffice. Still, I did report him.

Also way to call me a noob. No, we went to the outpost because we weren't afraid to tango. We had a decent haul sure, but were undefeated and challenged every ship we saw. We were not afraid to fight two ships at the same time. PVP is what makes the game fun, I don't play for the pixels. That doesn't make me a noob thanks.

  • @maia "sank a hacker" well I have literally no proof it was them but "I THINK IT WAS" so they hack. I sank a hacker boys.

  • @salazar-armando

lol whatever. Believe me or don't, if anything it was a word of warning to keep an eye out. Good to know that nobody cares.
