  • The sloop is just fine and it's my go to when I want to PvP.

  • @wolfblood-bill I think it is pretty even. The sloop changes direction better and repairs are all really close. Better with 2v4

  • @wolfblood-bill say if it were broken as you said, I think adding a 360 canon to the crows nest would be ridiculous and fun

  • @WolfBlood-Bill I kindly disagree, i think the sloops are pretty fine as they are. Most of my pvp action is either solo or duo on a sloop, we tend to attack full crew galleons on purpose (fun!) and we sink them way, way more than they end up sinking us. Sloop is 100% maneuverable by one single person which in turn can also let it go on its own for a while while shooting with the cannon, it's tricky but it can absolutely be done. In the worst case scenario you can U-turn with the anchor and just run away in the opposite direction of the galleon, the same procedure requires way more crew coordination on the galleon and the result is slower anyway, making you uncatchable most of the times.

If anything i would love them to add a middle tier ship for 3 people, between sloop and galleon and maybe lock galleon to 4 man only.

  • Sloops are fast and maneuverable but are easier to sink if you catch them.
Galleons take on less water per second and have more people/guns but are slower to turn and WAY slower going up wind.

Sloops are specifically designed to out maneuver/outrun Galleons because they're meant to be the small boat that runs up, grabs treasure, and leaves quick, where as the Galleon is designed for long voyages where multiple encounters might happen. If you don't like how a Galleon wrecks your Sloop, avoid the Galleon.

  • @super-poopsy I would love to see that two. And I am more coming from a casual player perspective. These were just thought I had. Was wondering what other people thought.

  • @WolfBlood-Bill No problem, i'm not criticizing or anything, just adding my two cents to the discussion! :)

  • Yes trying to solo fight in a sloop is basically impossible against a big ship. But when you have 2 people (especially skilled ones) the Sloop can be very hard to sink/deal with when in a Galleon.

  • You would never fight against a 1945 Kingtiger with a 1939 light tank, still people demands an artificial balance.

And still sloop can sink bad and/or uncoordinated galleon crews.

  • Then how did a 2 man sloop just completely wash my galleon at a skull fort a good sloop crew can handle galleons I personally have taken 2 galleons on at the same time

    1. Sloop is just fine. It's quite a beast with 2 crew.
    2. A lot of time was spent balancing the ships.
  • I think the sloops fine.
