"But theres 4 skeletons" NO just no guys... no...
AAA studio Rare puts out the most "ambitious game of all time" with only skeletons to fight... wut...
GTA (any of them) had exactly one kind of enemy type, humans. And it's one of the most wildly successful games of all time, as well as having current gen releases.
Additionally, SoT is a PvP game too, similar to GTA. The PvE simply is there thematically, and is designed to make the missions get harder and harder by adding more and more enemies. The rewards being kept safe from other pirates is really what the game is about.
@udeadcarrot12 I didn't mention them because they are too rare. But they are arguably a fourth enemy.
@thegreatestmoo Saying multiple types of skeletons don’t count is the same BS as not acknowledging the riddles vs the X- marks the spot missions.
What else would we fight besides other pirates/players and Skeletons? Those are the two most typical pirate things ever.
We could get naval soldiers to fight and maybe ghost pirate/skeletons ships- but ppl are totally against NPC ships at sea and Rare has made it clear they are at least trying to avoid that.
Yes the game needs more content, but people are totally exaggerating when they say there is nothing in the game.

This. This is all right.

PacMan didn't do too bad with just one enemy!!
Actually, the ghosts in Pacman had their own different AI 'personalities'. So it had four different enemies.

You’re right but just to be a stickler GTA V had a couple dogs that would attack you.
@jdwolfe yes, mongooses. Maybe that will be one of the pets they will add and we won’t have to deal with snakes anymore cause the mongoose will get them.
@themilkman-vaec gta v also had wild animals that would appear in the woods at the worst times and somehow trick you into blowing yourself up. Is that everyone or just me being dumb.
@drakebg757 @Scorpion667 no, have you played any other Rare game EVER? what is this game... this is not Rare...

but what do you mean, how can you forget about the snakes, you know the snakes that have literally no animations. That just sit there and you hear them hiss and then your screen goes all wonky. How could you forget those wonderfully designed snakes
@ir0nsh007er I can one up that, here is a list of games with one or NO AI enemies:
Where's Waldo for Nintendo
Microsoft Flight Simulator (and any other simulator really)
The Sims
Any Online FPS (that might have single player or other campaign modes but started without enemy AI)
Tetris (Most sold game of all time)
Watch_Dogs 1 & 2
Battlefield
Call of Duty WW2
Any and all puzzle games
Pacman
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Climb Your Friends
Space Engineers
Medeival Engineers
Vermantide
Day of Defeat
Left 4 Dead I and II
Now I know what a lot of people are saying, some of those have multiple types of enemies. No they do not, have variant enemies, for instance, Left 4 Dead ONLY has zombies, some of them are stronger and do other things, like how some of the Skeletons in SoT fire cannons, some have more health, some are strong in the water while others are strong when dry. So yes, one TYPE of enemy is very common if the vagueness of your claim is "skeleton" in all forms is one enemy. Sure, that means "human" or "zombie" or "ghost" works that way too right?
@jackthehammock said in What other game in history has had ONE TYPE OF ENEMY?:
@thegreatestmoo Snakes, Kraken, Sharks, Skeletons and don't forget other REAL people as Pirates.
OP just got wrecked lol

I was correcting someone that said Pacman has one enemy. Put your pitchfork down.
@scorpion667
& i'm sure all the skellies in sea of thieves have their own personalities too, but they are still just skellies, therefore 4 x ghosts even if they do have 'personalities' is still one TYPE of enemy!
