Kill your self option / respawn

    Hey there,

    This may seem weird but this is the third time this has happened to me. I had a nice collection of chests and skulls on my ship and was doing a voyage riddle. I fell down a hole that I couldn’t get out, didn’t matter how many tines I jumped, lunge, or whatever.

    Sadly the only way to get out is to leave the game entirely, forfeiting all loot, location, and the voyage.

    So I thought it would be handy to have this as an option. Even as a really detrimental one such as a longer respawn time of something. But I shouldn’t need to sacrifice everything and get back in.

    I agree there needs to be some sort of option which allows us to get out of being stuck. I have found that drinking a tankard and getting drunk will get me unstuck. However, I doubt that will work if you're in a hole...

    Agreed. Stucked 2 times in 3 hours between stones/trees.

    But limit it by 1 time per hour or something :)

    @kakashi-lord Yes. Needs to be there. There is a mechanic designed to recognise when you get stuck but it seems to work when you aren't stuck and not work when you actually are...

    Yes, I agree that it would be a good option to escape such situations.

    Just a shame, like I had quite a bit and lost essentially 2 hours of looting.

    Please? I was stuck in the terrain, like actually inside a rock, and had to quit to get back in. I was with a friend so I could come back, but I kept getting immediate Lazybeards when trying. I had to fully restart my game and risk someone taking my spot before I finally made it.

    I've also gotten stuck when I had been collecting treasure - had to quit the game and lost everything.

    It only affects solo players.

    Only if it's more dramatic than GTA:O though. They actually had you put the gun up to your head and everything.

    While you might be saying but that game was rated M. Well SoT is rated T and neither game cares about it's ratings so I want some seppuku or something!

    Mod is probably gonna edit out seppuku because an ancient Asian spirit stumbled onto the forums and got triggered.
