The Legendary Pirate Streamer
While it isn't the greatest moral wavelength to be on, he didn't do anything any true pirate wouldn't have done.
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but even Blackbeard himself had a crew. He was a fabled pirate captain, not a legendary shovel-man.
Legendary acts receive legendary criticism, and jealousy.
I for one, think this act is most notable, and respect this captain for amassing such a wealth without seeing the end of a single blade. Well done sir.
@ball-o-cheese What matters isn't what you or I think is the spirit of the game. What is going to matter is what Rare believes it is. You think it was fine. I think it was a dirtball move by someone who doesn't even care about the game enough to actually play it. Bottom rung on the gamer ladder. Hope the gaming community lets him know how they feel about it.
@mantonx2 it obviously does matter if you say he violated the rule of "the spirit of the game" Rare doesn't dictate what that means nor should they b/c the spirit of the game to the developer is going to be different to the spirit of the game to the designer. You can't say he violated something that is up for interpretation.
@sikpanzer Black Beard wasnt no shovel man but [mod edit] did he earn his place in the ranks. That dude would fight on the lines with all his men. I LOVE reading about Black Beard more than any pirate in the history books. If anyone was to say Black Beard wasnt a True Beast of a man just read up on how he died. He went down like the biggest boss you could ever imagine.
And the kicker is the people that killed him did it with trickery of parley.

Manga Fan here, and you disgrace the name of White Beard by saying that. he, just like Luffy, and just like all other pirates including Gold D. Roger himself started out as a common pirate before he became a legend and before be became Pirate Lord.
To put it simply for yall this Twitch Streamer is currently on the level of Rackham. Rackham was a [mod edit] of a pirate if you read up on him but he had a ship and a crew that went the distance* with him.

@mysticdragon297 no no no the implication wasnt on that This Twitch Streamer is on the level of Whitebeard. The intent focus was more on the system that was in place so white beard didnt HAVE to get out of his chair (throne) to get the gold and fame being that he had thousands of followers. Which is a simliar way this twitch streamer used him followers. This twitch streamer would be more like Usopp when he was a little kid... All talk but even that would be an insult to Usopp
@mantonx2 yes he will get his. Look at it now actually he is now legendary in a game where there isnt anything currently past legendary. Sssoooo all hes going to do is putt around on a ship and get bored of the game probably quit. Which is essintially hanging himself. Sure when the legendary content comes out or gets more shtuffs he may come back. By then however literally everyone is going to be better than him. Maybe his crew will help him once more. Maybe part of the way to get through Legendary stuff will be to solo something really hard. He wont be able to and will be left in the wake. Can't say but in the end work like this does come to bite you in the aft one way or another.
@mantonx2 i dont know who this guy is or was. All i know is people keep complaining and spouting off random ignorance demanding his legendary title be revoked and it's more annoying. Had everyone not complained about it i wouldn't of even known about him. Which goes to show all these people complaining about him only made him more popular

@ball-o-cheese I don't see how they wouldn't complain. It's like Rare set up a marathon. Everybody started running and one guy jumped in a cab, rode to the finish line, stepped out and crossed the finish line for the win. I have barely been able to play because of work, so I was nowhere in the same solar system as getting Pirate Legend, but I can see how people who are actually playing the game are p****d.
Even that streamer who was gaming the servers to hit skull forts constantly at least played the game and fought in the skullfort battles.
Honestly the OP is right, since he got to pirate legend super fast it made me no longer want to play the game. So kudos to him for weaseling his way up to legend to show how little there is once you get there, not to mention the fact they seem to allow things of this nature to continue in this game. Might as well just abuse all the broken things in this game....... :(
@pikaaroon out of curiosity, where are the official replies from rare? I see lots of topics where moderators are editing and locking but none of the questions that are being asked are being answered as far as I can tell. Am I looking in the wrong place or are there no official responses from anyone at rare?
@legacyxi he didnt abuse anything that was broken. He had his friends help him simple as that. If you are put out by all of this and quit the game b/c you can't wait for the content it'll just be one less ship to look for on my seas.
this kind of thing isnt new to games. This isnt a surprising thing... Friends Boost one friend to the top... That friend (having more rewarding missions) boost his friends up with him... and so on and so forth. If anything i wouldnt be surprised is Rare implemented this way to allow players to level up quickly to be less grinding
@gordon-sevencav I haven't even seen any official Rare account even mention him or Pirate Legend since this broke.
@mantonx2 I just mean in general even. I swear that every thread I'm in has only moderators telling people to be nice basically or locking them down but there are ones that have 250-plus replies with questions about things with no official rare reply
@saladoff as it should but a good pirate who thinks he or she is actually deserving of Legendary wouldnt cry or complain. They'd do things the "legit way" and stand up higher than the first.
If yall would really think about it he destroyed what it meant to get first... Now the Majority of the community who hears "Yeah i was the first to get it" will turn their sails away from him in disgust.

Super scummy move really. Instead of earning it fairly he server hopped. He doesn’t give a s**t about this game. He never bothered to learn the basics. All he did was tell his fans to help him. Now they cant even enjoy the content he unlocked because he’s too big of a tool to know what to do with it.
Hope his fans left him the riddle to sort out on his own, the lazy a*s.
@crusader-zorro yes exactly. As i said previously though hes not a GOOD pirate he was a famous one. He used his fame to push him to the top. It's scummy yes and should be frowned upon but for people to be claiming he abused a system or cheated is just as donk

The topics that are being moderated, from my understanding, are because of specific Forum Rules being broken and not because of the subject matter itself.
Such as:
Harassment
Harassment is any repeated action that makes the other party uncomfortable. Harassing Rare Employees, Global Moderators, Deckhands or Community Members will result in a temporary ban from the Forums and a warning. If the action continues, a permanent ban from the Forums will be issued.and
Witch-hunting and Call-Outs

@pikaaroon that wasn't exactly my point, I just meant more of out of the hundreds of questions I see asked in a day, was wondering if there was any place where those questions are actually being answered. Or if it's just silence. I realize your job is to moderate the forums. Was more of asking if there was a specific area I needed to look to find replies to the majority of player base questions.
