PC players move far quicker than Xbox users

  • When I watch players on Twitch on PC they move / swim so much quicker than I do on Xbox, why is this? Am I at a fair disadvantage, when Im up against them, is this a mod on PC? Doesn't seem fair? Anybody know why?

  • Sigh No they don't.

  • You DO know there is a Sprint button, right?!?

Sometimes good players use a technique called Cutlass dashing, it only works when jumping into the water. It is also available on console, easier there, even.

They also just personally have great movement skills.

  • ....just wow.

  • Yeah, it's true. Also, if we hold down Z there's an emote between make friends and dance that lets us use a jetpack for 5 seconds but goes on cooldown for 15. They disabled it on the xbox side, I'm not sure why though.

Oh well, good thing I bought a PC.

  • I wouuuuuuuuuld love to know how you came to this conclusion.

  • @xcapt-han-solox pc players move the mouse faster and precisely rather them xbox players with the right stick.

It's clear that pc players have a lot of advantage.

I'm almost quiting this game on console.

  • @xcapt-han-solox I'd wager it LOOKS faster, likely because they have their sensitivity higher than you do. This gives the false illusion of faster "speed".

  • There's no way this is not a troll bait thread.

  • @sausijxzal

I doubt there's any speed difference on foot. That'd be just silly.

Movement for aiming and directional changes have always been faster and more accurate on a mouse and keyboard than a controller joystick. The ability to swing around 180 degrees in a tenth of a second and right back around again cannot be done with a locked rotational speed based on joystick sensitivity.

Next time you think there's no difference, go browse the internet only using Edge on Xbox from now on.

    :edited to correct typo:

  • Please, disable crossplay, if I must resist more entitled whine I am going to commit seppuku.

    OP said move. not aim.

  • @sausijxzal Oh I'm sorry, I forgot that aiming doesn't require the character to move at all.

  • @theskunkburner Don't get snarky with me.
You and everyone else knows full well movement in a video game context means to physically traverse, not to rotate.

    Movement != Rotation/Aiming

  • I'm having a problem dispatching PC player's in the amount of time or strikes they kill me in ... Not sure if it a lag or delayed register of hit but ... I shot a guy today 2 times while he was swimming towards me in water and I was on land he never once ate a banan and me thinking we'll easy kill I'll finish him with my sword when he gets to me... We exchange a combo i begin mine first cause I'm ready for him to stop swimming and walk on land all of mine hit but so do all of his... I hit him with a combo again and am able to start my combo before his cause my last combo finished before his... I completed my combo and he also completed his... I died and he lived! 2 pistol shots and 2 cutlass combos all hits! He never ate banana... Just swam then walked right up to me (full health) and killed me with 2 cutlass combos.

  • Its because PC's have faster ram, so we can run faster and attack faster.

  • PC player moving quicker?

    Maybe he meant mentally.

    [shots fired]

  • @xcapt-han-solox There is no difference, other than typically, PC players are bigger, badder, faster and better looking than console players, so no real advantage.

  • @xcapt-han-solox Hi! I dont see it at all. I play on an ok PC and I dont do anything faster. To be honest, I get my butt handed to me on a tray all the time by xbox users...

there movement speed is identical to xboxes, the only difference in speed is hip fire which is lightning fast and ADS is faster with exception to the eye of reach

    hugs PC

  • And my insta nuke xbox player macro. Complete with taunt and dance !

Man im tired if all this qq vs pc nonsense.

  • PC players have certainly a lot of advantages but faster movement (not aiming) is not one of them
    PC advantages:

    • better framerate (obviously, can't take that away from them)
    • godlike aim precision and speed with ease (and because of it, situational awareness)
    • bunny hopping and aiming possible at the same time (not on a controller)
    • much faster loading times after death or mermaid, they get back on the ship quicker (it should be time-based not machine speed based, damn it!)
    • can hear game chat and party chat at the same time
    • cheats
  • @captain-surgee you forgot: with dual screen, I can sink boat while I take a look at victims posts on this forum.

Everybody hates the cheat. I'm pretty sure that could be implemented on Xbone aswell. All the other things. These are advantages of the PCMR...

It's not too late, you can still ascent to our Gloriousness.

Luckily this is a casual pve game so it doesn’t matter too much. People try to turn it into PvP of course but yeah it’s pve

  • @xprssn No, you can't install cheats on Xbox without installing a special chip into a motherboard, and then you'll probably get banned from Xbox live network very quickly. I was doing these modifications before for clients, I know how it works. As for the gloriousness, I have a GTX 1080 ti, i7 8700k, 32gb of fastest ram out there, the newest EVO SSD and all of it connected to 2x ROG Swift 165hz. I still prefer gaming on My Xbox One and Xbox One X ( was a die-hard PC fan before). You see, Xbox live is a completely different, premium experience for online games. No cheaters, everyone has fair chances, the aiming, using triggers to shoot, and general heavy character feel are much more realistic than clicking away enemies. It's just preference. I loved it until cross-play was forced upon us. You may ask, why do I need a $3000 pc if I don't game on it? I'm a 2d/3d designer/animator.

  • idont care if pc players or faster iplay on xbox got the gamepas and im so happy with it because there is 0nly 10% content with 2 weeks is
the game already death for 70% of the players deal with it and move on its not going to chance

  • Spend fifty bucks on a zim and you too can do all those nifty pc things on your xbox. Minus the cheats. Sounds win huh.

Xbox live and premium experience in one sentence makes no sense. But i give you credit for seeing it as s different experience. The worst I had in a long time.... The nightmares I had...
