Ghost ship spotted

    I am leaving you these words as I have gotten a refund on my purchase for various reasons but I though I'd leave people with some tips on how to find a ghost ship.
    I saw one partially manifest itself and then disappear. I have not been able to replicate or find it again as I believe it is triggered by global events (like moon and in-game date)
    Here's what I did when I saw it - I entered a storm just before sundown (not sure what the phase of the moon was because of the clouds) as the sun touched the ocean a green blur warped about three to four galleon lengths off my port side toward the west with the setting sun in the background and became a blurry ship and then blurred out again like green smoke. I have done this lots of times again after seeing it but still no re-appearance of the ship.. Good luck.

    Wish you recorded it or took a picture. I'm inclined to believe you, as the game is still new, but I am skeptical.

    I didn't start recording till it just disappeared (ironically shadowplay instant replay wasn't turned on), here's the moments after I saw it thought -

    For the record, It could have been something else, considering I've had a Chinese hacker randomly appear onboard my sloop too, I video of that too! XD

    That's no moon either, it's a space station!

    Interesting... I've saw the sky turn to a kind of "unnatural" looking atmosphere before, and I was sure there was something special going on by looking at the moon (I even saw an eclipse once!!) but I had no idea there would be something like ghost ships around!

    @edward-doe I haven't seen an eclipse but the ghost ships where shown during and E3 trailer from 2016 I think. I have tried to replicate the same place and situation numerous times after seeing it but to no avail which leads me to believe that its a global event that needs to happen first in order for it to reappear. All I remembered doing was being adrift in a storm with sails and anchor up while the sun was setting on the horizon. it was only visible for about 2-3 seconds and then vanished.

    @cptnstripes Has this ever occurred to you that this is how the Legendary Ship spawns in? :)

    could also be a glitch or something. I saw a bloody ship flying through the sky when playing a few days ago!! I thought at first it was some new enemy or something. but then it landed in the water and sunk, (sank?).

    @lostscotman That's what I was thinking too, when I see my friends spawn into the game they appear as green ghost specters for a split second and then assume their human appearance

    You could have pressed Windows+G and recorded an Xbox clip

    @dralockz I didn't even know xbox was capable of recording, I haven't touch console stuff in years. I made an Xbox account just to play this game, I had never had one prior or read up about the software and now I no longer have the game there's no point lol
