Ship Design Customization

    I recently started playing Sea of Thieves and I'm hooked.

    I have a few suggestions concerning ships and their cosmetics
    As of now we have the options to customize the sails, hull color and Figureheads but there is no actual customization that changes the ship itself.
    My suggestion is to add different sterns (back), decks (middle) and fores (front) as 3 different chunks. It could be anything from changing the Sterns back from a square to a rounder shape with, smoother railing, different layout on the Tiller etc. A rounder shape of it in general.

    I think this would add a lot to the game cause your galleon would not only be recognized by color but also by shape. Ships far away are usually quite dark and it is hard to identify a new galleon from one you just encountered and perhaps would like to stay away from or hunt down for loot. If the ships Stern and Fore are rounded, higher or have a different shape it would be easier to identify the different ships. Being only a few days since release it might scare inexperienced or new players but in my opinion it would be a customization option majority of the players would enjoy very much.

    I do not think it would add much to the game at all, and it would require so much work to do, its already known they spent an extreme amount of time getting the ships we have now right, I would rather they spend their time creating fun stuff to do.

    @Explobomb - I think it is only a matter of time before they do this.

    They are already adding name plates and different items on the ships, based on their artwork book. So, I have to imagine that different ship pieces will come.

    I love the idea.
