  • @de4th-fire yeah I didn’t believe it at first. Until I was playing with a pc crew and we were doing great sinking ships having a good time and a single dude in a sloop boarded us and would snap 180 one s**t kill we all dumped 15 rounds in him and he kept running laughing. Snapping 180 killing us . It became very obvious he was cheating .

So we stopped and asked him and he was straight up “yeah I’m trying out this hack”. Auto aim , snap spin shots you name it .

Cross play has its advantages but this isn’t one of them . Rare has to get on this s**t and fix it ASAP.

  • @de4th-fire We PC players have to deal with it too. Record it, grab the gamertag and send the video/tag to Rare and Microsoft

Right? It's irritating seeing people say "xbox players are suffering". It happens on both consoles. It's not new. Don't blame crossplay for it.

  • @cpt-rikari I agree this image of all pc players being lawless hackers is insane. It doesn't matter what you are playing on, no one likes to be cheated.

  • @de4th-fire I hate the hackers but crossplay is what makes this game awesome! I am able to play with friends on xbox and they enjoy playing with me. Just deal with the hackers like we do. Let's believe that Rare will get a good anti-cheat.

  • @padd i know pc players have to deal with it. but it's almost pc players that useing hacks now. and it's easy to dissolve on xbox to disable it.

  • It's not going to happen. Cross play is the future and nothing is going to slow it down. The real solution would be to charge PC players for Multiplayer like they are Xbox players. When people have something to lose their less inclined to be air heads. Microsoft just doesn't know how to do Live services without scamming people so PC players will never go for it. Remember when you had to have gold to launch Netflix? Microsoft needs to offer free Player hosted multiplayer and private matches while only charging for dedicated server access, but they're to money grabbling to figure this out. Gold is the only thing stopping cheats on Xbox. Not the hardware itself.

  • @blackelite-id16 You have got to be kidding me...

Part of the reason I got a PC was because I got tired of paying for this garbage "pay to play online" system. First, you have to buy the game, then you have to pay for internet, and THEN you have to pay to PLAY THE GAME ONLINE. No thank you.

If people are going to cheat, they will get banned. Then they lose $60.

  • Yeah I agree it's absolutely horrible. Should have a playerlist in the session telling you peoples names and what they play on. PC players in the session and I'm out.

  • @rad-double-tap did you even read the whole post or did you just stop at "charge for multiplayer"? Dedicated servers require money to stay online and the devs aren't going to lose money maintaining them. For games that do not require dedicated servers it should always be free but there are some exceptions such as MMO where p2p is the only way to keep the game running.

  • @rad-double-tap Exactly, when MS starts trying to charge me for this, I'll be out. Honestly as bad as the xbox app is they should be paying me lol.

  • The reason I pick console gaming ov t pc
Is because it’s harder to hack. Cross play should be optional for Xbox users. I know their is pc gamers out there who aren’t like this. I feel for you, and don’t blame you. Believe me, console vs pc just isn’t fair in the competitive world and never will be.

  • @cratour I agree, there are a vast amount more of people that are not hacking than are but the ones who are are just pathetic and ruin it for everyone else. especially at the beginning of something. Sent in a report ticket, hopefully it is solved.

  • @blackelite-id16 Yeah, I read it. The game won't sell like that.

  • It's less of an issue with crossplay, and more of an issue with hacks being made for the game. Yes Rare could disable crossplay to solve the issue. Or they could just work on getting an anti-cheat or somehow making it so that the hacks are out of date.

  • Crossplay is the problem, pc players need to stop looking for ez kills

Seriously? Why should those of us who play SoT on Xbox have to suffer for the immaturity of those who play it on a PC? PC users need to police thier own in SoT and leave Xbox out of it. Eliminating crossplay is the only way.

  • @epicdejavudoo Because the game is cross platform play. Simple as that, don't like it? Play something else.

  • @de4th-fire Hey, I'm on PC and for cheats to be developed after a week of the game being out is really difficult to do, in other words PC M*********e, make the change.

  • I will say that combat has been extremely frustrating. Not even those that are hacking. What chance do I have with an Xbox controller versus a bunny hopping mouse and keyboard wielding PC player? It feels pretty unfair.

Cheats happen on all consoles. Xbox is not immune to it.

  • An option would be ok, but I enjoy playing with my wife (i'm on pc and she's on xbox) so I definitely don't want to see this taken out!

  • You guys talk like PC and Xbox users are two different species. We all just like video games...nuts man

  • @st-aabra get a mouse for the xbox. Back in the day of Modern Warfare I bought a splitfish mouse for the ps3. It was glorious. lol

  • @lestatpt1979 I could play on PC if I wanted to with mouse and keyboard.... but I want to sit back on the couch with my Xbox controller and relax while I play. I played FPS games with mouse and keyboard for years.... you know what that got me? Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. After years of recovery my wrists finally don't hurt anymore..... I have to use the mouse and keyboard all day for work.... if you use it for play as well expect to have aching fingers and wrists after a few years.

  • @st-aabra you know whats funny? Is that half my right hand is now permanently numb for like... almost a month now, from trying to go up the ladder in Dragon Ball fighterz (I was in the top... 20ish with an xbox controller. I'm still recovering and every damn day I think I almost wrecked my nerve with a game controller.

But yea, I get you... to each his own I guess... hope you get your wrists fully recovered man.

  • @lestatpt1979 The most important thing is to do a variety of different types of movements. Playing with an Xbox controller all day will mess you up - same as using Keyboard and mouse. If you vary between them though then it makes it a lot easier.

Xbox requires an online sub, PC's do not. That's why I play all my games on PC and dislike console's. The real solution to this issue is to simply add anti-cheat software (which currently there is none i believe). The team are likely concentrating on more important things at the moment but I have confidence that this issue (which effects ALL players, PC & Hexbox) will be addressed soon.

Anyone hacking will be very easy to track via the server/player data. The gold gain / rep gain, K/D ratio, Player death count, movement speed, distance traveled etc - All huge indicators that someone is hacking if these stats simply do not add up when compaired to average player stats and projections.

Disabling Crossplay only hurts the game and the community as a whole.

Give it a few weeks / month tops. The hackers will all be gone/banned and decent anti-cheat will be in place to block further problems.

In the meantime players on both systems will just have to manage and report those we see causing issues.

To be fair, i've sunk a pretty crazy amount of time into the game and have yet to encounter anything sketch, not have I heard reports from any of my friends regarding this. So I am not sure exactly how common this is, or how large the hacking community for this game is (I used to mess about with cheat engine back in the day, and out of curiosity recently hit-up my old hacker resource forums etc to find very little information/discussion. There are hacks out there but it's pretty low key stuff, and the only ones offering do so via a purchase only method. They know it's weak at the moment so simply cash-in to cause havoc while they can. I doub't that many 'normal' players are going to take the risk purchasing both the game and their silly hacks, only for it all to be banned/lost in a short while).

Report anyone you see hacking and wait it out. It suckss, but it's the only option.

  • Now ... I dont think disabling is the answer .. but an option ... i support

  • @epicdejavudoo so are you saying if I go buy an xbox one pay for live create a cheat engine that runs off my laptop and hardwire my xbox one then cheating is fine? don't blame a universal problem on one console if people want to cheat they will just because there is or isn't crossplay does not stop the issue this is a cheating issue not a crossplay issue.

  • @sn4res "Xbox requires an online sub, PC's do not" ... well I'm on pc but I rather pay the 10 monthly euros for sub than shelling out 60 euros for something I dont know its going to keep me in enough time to justify the 60 euros upfront. So I need 6 more months of game before it turns into loss and... I'm not seeing myself playing this game 6 months straight. Not with farcry 5 and Red Dead on the horizon, job, gf. I rather have the monthly sub. On any game to be fair.

No harm in that.. I just think it's a damn rip-off that you guys have to pay to play online. You already pay your ISP for that privilege. Sony/Microsoft just milk it further without really offering many benefits. Hacks are still available on consoles, it's just a little bit harder.

And with the majority of games being locked to 30/60fps with decreased graphics quality.. I just don't see the value.

  • @sn4res wait maybe I didnt explain myself... I pay 10 monthy euros on pc. I dont own an xbox. Those 10 euros I pay its because I didnt want to pay the 60 euros upfront since there was an option to pay 10 a month. (I think you miss understood about me playing on xbox - I play on pc I just bought the... xbox live thingy that works on pc too and includes Sea of Thieves)
