So earlier today we had a convoy from The Merchant "a vital clean for mr. Preston" in this Convoy you're charged with finding a red speckled chicken and a pink black spotted Pig. All went well as I do chicken convoys fairly regularly I've never had an issue so this was the first time getting a pig. Long story short I have the pink black spotted pig going to turn it in at the Outpost and literally as soon as I walk up to the Merchant to hand in the pig literally vanishes from my cage. I took an Xbox video had to go out get another Pig handed it in didn't register. So I logged off this was last night. This morning and login still have the same voyage go to do it again same problem with the pig go to hand it in and it vanishes. This is kind of annoying having to do the Convoy over and over and over again I love these convoys but seriously I'd like to get them done and over and move on to the next one
The Disappearing Pigs?
@krypts0n You need to feed pigs or else they will 'die'/disappear. I don't think this is actually explained in the game. Chickens on the other hand don't appear to need feeding.

I'm honestly not sure how often you need to feed them. But I had the same experience with a friend the first time we tried it, one disappeared on the ship (Figured was a bug) then when we went and got a new pig it disappeared as we were taking it off the ship.

Sorry but this mechanic is very disappointing, especially if you have to search half an hour for a freaking pink pig and as you have one, you come back to your ship and the other one is dead... drives me crazy. Those merchant missions are the opposite of fun anyway...

You should have a good 15-20 minutes before they need a feed they will sit down and scream like there about to become bacon when there ready for a banana.
That timeframe may be wrong its just a rough estimate from my travels.

@Krypts0n also on top of the screaming, they will transition into "sitting" position. When they are healthy and okay, they are standing. If you don't feed them in time and they were sitting for too long, they gonna lay down and shortly after that they will die.
@krypts0n i had something similar once. I was transporting a pig to the ship and he disappeared without crying and sitting, meaby they don't show the hungry status when they are transported?

Nope, less than 5 minutes and pig was gone. Broken after last update.I agree, these missions are not fun. Would rather transport goods from one port to another like in elite dangerous. Devs should set missions up like those and let you choose the type of merchant missions in case anyone does like gathering pigs and chickens
