Xbox Game Pass question

    If I get the Xbox game pass and download the game. If it expires, can I still play the game? Or do I have to pay for it?

    You have to have an active subscription. It wouldn't be a sane business decision to allow someone to purchase 1 month, download every game available, and cancel would it?

    @realuberkritz are you asking if you can get the game for one payment of game pass and then keep it forever?

    No if you're using game pass, to keep playing the game you have to keep paying for game pass. As soon as your month or free trial ends the permissions attached to you account that allows you to play the game will be revoked until you either renew your game pass or purchase the game in full.
