Transferable talisman, that accumulates booty through game time.

  • The best way I can pen this is with an example: The Hangsmans Amulet
    -The amulet glows like a lantern, yet green therefore can be seen by other players on the map at some distance.
    -successfully holding onto the amulet for 1.5 hours of gameplay will grant you a reward to be collected from any tavern(1500 gold or as exclusive items seem to be Rares new thing, 10 special skins, then once completed all ten you get gold).

    • whoever kills the player gets the amulet, so therefore is transferable.
    • of your account is not online for a certain number of days the amulet is randomly left on a beach or in a chest till another player finds it.
    • there are a few different types of amulet but enough to cover about 5% of the player base, so you should come across one, but not enough to stop it being something special.
    • maybe have an amulet that makes you unbriggable?
      -Or have cursed amulets that accumulate wealth or skins but make you constantly sprint or not be able to sprint or jump in random intervals, or start randomly dancing.

  • @captinzhou its rewards are far too easy, and its rarity far too high. I think giving cosmetics is too much reward. Cursed amulets are interesting tho, how about something like this.

    perhaps if it was found it could contain a voyage of some sort such as. You must find the ghost of a dead pirate and re-uniting his ghost to his long lost loves ghost. The amulet belongs too His lost love who is on a island somewhere, and is cursed till they reunite. When you find her, she will tell you a story with a hint or riddle of where to find her lost love. The ghost pirate would need to be on a shipwreck somewhere or a shipwreck on an island in that selected area. When you find him you then take him aboard and re-unite the couple so they can pass on to a better place.

    The amulet could be found like the bottles on the beaches.

    I think the reward would be from the pirate ghost, just before they pass on he gives you a map where his buried treasure is, and maybe a special lovey-dovey type title. it should be rare to find, like says 1-2 on beaches on the server, so that everyone can get it eventually.

  • @nanach yeh I actually agree, I just made up rewards and frequency as a starting point for a discussion. However, I mean for it to be like an active quest that can be stolen from you. And highlights you in the game, I admit it may be annoying for your crew, but rather than just taking loot you actually get to take a quest or something other than just chests, creates or skulls.

  • You could hide in an uncharted island for hours to farm gold.

    More cons than pros.

    Well, if it had a cap on how much you could earn and you lost it after collecting; it wouldn't be all that exploitable.

  • @lobofh that’s why it glows, you sail past a uncharted island and there’s a weird green light, you jump on, pump he/she full of blunderbuss and keep moving.

  • I like the cursed necklace idea. It would be fun if the only way to get rid of it is to have someone else kill you and then that person unknowingly is cursed and has to do the same to get rid of it. There could be “The Seven Cursed Necklaces of the Seven Seas”. Each one has a different curse attached to it.
