Not sure this has been discussed but has anyone mentioned a ghost ship that randomly attacks ships in the open ocean? It could start with a dense fog then some lights appear off in the distance but their distance is deceiving. Next thing you know your being shot at by skeletons, ghosts, or long dead pirates who have emerged from Davey Jones Locker. If you don't defeat it it rams your ship splitting it in 2 as the long dead pirates try to drag you down to the abyss.

Yea many people have suggested it on this forum. Rare said they are going to have events, and this might be a possibility, but at the same time they also said they don't want npc ships, they want you to know if you see sails on the horizon: its another player. But maybe one big boss ship would be introduced for a short time, who knows...
