Many games these days involve hideous foes with grotesque aberrations and gore. I wish more games took inspiration from real nature. Sure, there are ugly and always-frightening animals, like viperfish. But many dangerous animals are more like bears, wolves, buffalo, elephants, orca, and octopi -- peaceful and fascinating when they are not eating or defending territory. Bears can be pretty and playful from a distance. But one looks very different when charging toward you or howling.
It would be nice to see beasts like that in Sea of Thieves. Pirates could admire them from a distance, watching them playfully splash in the waves or scratch their backs against trees. But if a pirate gets too close, it becomes a terror.
