Sword aim lock on PC?????

  • I get it that you want the sword to aim lock when you are playing on console because you have limited turning speed but why is that always on on pc as well? I know you have no experience with pc games so pls get some professional advice from someone. It's not the only thing that sometimes makes the game almost completely unplayable.
For example, if I'm fighting skeletons in a fort and I want to hit multiple enemies with my sword it auto locks onto the closest one who is usually to the side of the main group so I am not allowed to hit the targets that I want to hit and when the aim lock target walks inside we which happens very often in the forts my camera starts spinning in circles rapidly making it impossible to see anything at all and exposing by back to the horde of skeletons and preventing you from moving in the direction that you want to move in.

There is a reason why things that automatically move or freeze your camera have always been near the top of "top 10 things not to do when developing a fps game" lists.
Please at least make it optional. It is really painful. I'm not r******d, I can keep pointing with my mouse in the general direction of my enemy without your help.

  • @svetli97 There's an ongoing poll for this
Should you be able to disable melee lock-on in sea of thieves?

Most people want the option to remove it, even the people who play on Xbox

  • @zynthetikk86 thanks!

  • @personalc0ffee If you play on PC you'll notice how bad it is when fighting hords of skeletons

  • Yeah sadly one of the weakest parts in this game is the sword-play. Feels SOOO clunky.

  • @personalc0ffee sword lock on means that you loose your control of free aiming because the game selects the nearest target for you in combat.
    People want to remove this.

  • @personalc0ffee well then you're the minority here and it is a issue if you look at the polls.
There are no garanties that it will have this option once the game is released, that's why people bring it up.

  • @personalc0ffee you will not notice the problem on controller. On controller it is good to have your sword aim lock so that you can turn fast enough. On pc you can turn as fast as you want so having something that moves your camera around and prevents you from doing what you want is not fun.
