I would love to build a base with my friends and protect it from enemy raids. This game is cool and this one improvement would make this game the best in the galaxy

@rapidestsand816 I agree, i've been missing such a feature aswell, it would be a great improvement to the game.
With the current size of the map, along with multiple servers, i could see phased player islands become a thing. To incorporate your idea of defending your island against other players they could add missions for ppl to attack player strongholds, and allow the island owners to list their island as available for attack or safe haven.
They could maybe make it so if you sail off a certain part of the map it will just phase you into the player island area seamlessly.
Alternatively, a larger map might be able to actually house player islands. Perhaps even have certain islands that are purchasable / controllable by players that create some sort of big riddle or chest map that will actually entice players to hold onto said island.
I love the idea, it would be great to see as either player housing type or player island control.
