    So how will this game earn money besides the base game?

    will there be items in a shop?
    dlcs?
    cosmetics?

    And so on :) ?

    There are a few ways that the games developers will be earning money after release.

    1. The store selling exclusive items: https://shop.seaofthieves.com/
    2. In game, pets will be released in an exclusive microtransaction-based store 3 months after release.
