Please add private lobbies, I just love sailing with my friends and the adventure aspect of the game and also the beauty. I hate getting involved with another ship constantly.... ):

@karma-calibur Surely the private lobby you ask for already exists on the invite friends page before you hit set sail? Fill that and you have a full crew.
@f1lthy-rich she / he als9 stated that they don't want to get involved with another ship ..which is not possible sorry , it will ruin the game. You'll like it at first but with time everyone will get bored of not having encounters with other people i mean come on that's how the game was intended to be played

@karma-calibur no! this is how the game was built! Around random encounters with other people , only thing they need to change or manage is the griefing situation ...by changing respawn location after one encounter . Everyone will jump in private lobbies which will kill so many features as well as the general population and the sense of a living session when you join in , matchmaking , world pve encounters ,etc . Why can't you people just accept the fact that this is how it's meant to be played ?

Then you meant a private server not lobby.
@drachmul I wouldn't mind seeing a ship once an hour or so, but not every 10 min... there's 2 types of people, pve and pvp. I understand your side but you have to understand mind as well. I love laughing with my friends and adventuring, were getting gold to make our person look cooler, shouldn't have to deal with pvp constantly to do that, if I want a challenge, then just make the CPU HARDER ON THE ISLANDS, I wouldn't mind that, that would actually be awesome!
i presume you mean NPC's. they are bound to land masses only and so as such are zero threat to your ship realistically. Yes they can fire cannons at you, but simply sailing away fixes that. The game is made the way it is to add excitement to the game. PVP is completely avoidable, even on a solo sloop. if your in a galleon then you should have no issue escaping from another galleon, or destroying a harassing sloop as they are defensive not offensive(can be used as such though) ships.
@karma-calibur well i'm just trying to point out that private lobbies are not a good ideea for this game. They could cater to your type of mindset and play style by just changing which type of players you are matched up against in your session. Like for example where my imagination goes would be : somehow they figure a system out where it analyses how much you like pve or pvp and then they match up the same types of people that like exploring , that are not aggressive , that don't have a high kill count blabla, would that be a good approach? Because in the TEch alpha the forums became a shitshow for the exact reason : very rare encounters / 1 hour between each encounter. So i think it's hard to make everyone happy but this would be a solution? What do you think.

Who cares really?? Are we honestly trying to use cosmetics as a form of E-Peen now? I don't give a c**p what someone else buys, it's their choice, heck most people I see busy ganking people purposely don't wear higher rank gear so they can blend in and act like they are new players so you let them close to you.
We have enough of this c**p in real life, games should be a way to relax and get away from the capitalist garbage and the whole "I'm better than those people" mindset.

then you need to play in pve only game not pve/pvp games.
This game wasn't made for Pve only. Sometimes i sailing few hours and see no other ship.The idea is fine.
However i would change it abit, intead of a private server make it that you will be able to join a server where a friend is already playing in. It will keep the random people, but will make it possible to play along side friends or even Kill friends if you feel like it. ;)

It's all just a means to unlock more cosmetics though and I mean really who cares? It's just boiling down to people trying to act better than someone else just because of a rank (different cosmetics). If rank had an effect on combat stats or something then ya it makes a good point but all there is for progression is different skins of items that are functionally identical to what a day 1 player starts with.

No, private CREWS are on the way - private servers are not nor should they ever be in this game. Waste of time and resources to satisfy a few children that don't want to play the game as designed and want no challenge, just rewards.
@sniffyn0se Well I care. I was excited when I got my ceremonial admiral dress and was finally able to deck out my ship with the Sea Dog skin, sails and figurehead. Not trying to act better than anyone, just think it looks good that's all.
I just don't see why people need to make money in private servers, that's not what Rare had in mind for this game.

No, there are NOT two types of players - you people need to stop with this profiling already as it is not true and creates the divide you imagine. There are quite a few of us out there (the majority I wager) that play the game as designed using both elements and do not fall into your nice little pigeon-holes.
Private servers have NO place in a game like this....PERIOD. Private crews are OK and needed to stop the brig abuse, but private servers are not. It is a waste of time and resources just to satisfy a loud minority that do not want to actually play the game but just reap the rewards with no challenge. Without the constant threat of possible attack, there is absolutely no challenge in the game and becomes nothing but a big, easy fetch quest.
Also, this is the millionth post about this and is completely unnecessary, been beaten to death, and has megathreads already available to deal with it so these whiny posts don't clog up the forums for actually useful information and discussion of things that might actually happen.

So it's ok for you to be happy but someone that wants less trolling and griefing by playing on a hypothetical pve/private server shouldn't be happy and not be able to earn coins to customize themselves lol.
If I got something I felt was nice looking how does that suddenly make your accomplishment any less?
We can all be happy if the proper systems were in place and risk reward was actually balanced.
@sniffyn0se I do want people to be happy with the game but it's kind of unfair to throw that in my face when I am playing the game how Rare intended it to be played, on one server.
Maybe I am not the one with the problem here.
