Loving the game but I'm from Brazil and having ping 180-200...
Will we have servers in South America?
Server Locations and ping problem
@velozzzvz Me and my friends are from Italy and we all have the same "high latency" issues (170~200), I played with someone from America yesterday and he told us he had like 80-90, wich is still not optimal but at least more playable.
(Yes it's a stress test, but I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with me having such a high latency and some other guy on the other side of the world is "fine", also had the same ping during alpha and beta)
I'm just wondering if things are gonna change or not in the future, cause this really makes the game experience worse.@buhchris said in Server Locations and ping problem:

my latency is stable at 200. It seems that only US servers are active in beta. My fear is that there are no servers in South America or even at launch...( (In Europe it is almost certain that you will have dedicated servers) ;)Thing is, for what I've been told the game runs on the Azure Cloud from Microsoft (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/regions/) and I see plenty of servers in Europe ( one in Brazil aswell) but it still seems to have issues or maybe I'm missing out on something
Aww it would be nice to have an insight of where the servers will be, I played with 200ms or so in the stress test however I guess It can be like 20 or 30 ms less at launch maybe? Still it would be nice to play at a ping less than 100ms to have the same chance to fight (1v1 combats, boats are alright even at 200ms), if a dev could drop a little bit of wisdom here it would be awesome!

@mr-guffman Stress test or not I watched a couple streamers and the ones from NA had way better ping compared to EU ones.
And as I said previously, the issue is the same as Alpha and Beta, where players where significantly less.I guess I will try to join this stress test and see if anything changed.
Edit: Nope. still 160+.
250 ping here in Aus too. If this doesn't have local servers on launch it's a definite no buy from me and my friends. PvP and general combat is just a clunky mess and not satisfying at all. I couldn't care less about meeting people all around the world when the overall experience is so bad, but I have faith there will be silky smooth local servers on launch :)
