Voice Chat not working

    At first I wanted to play this game to have some fun, and experience a new thing.

    But I simply cannot hear anyone, I have my mic setup it works fine with every game besides this one, and this makes the experience a lot worse.

    I tried allowing it on my privacy settings, it didnt work. I also tried setting up in my xboxapp. Installed and reinstalled the game twice.

    It gets even worse when 4 man ships lock you up because they want you to leave if you dont have a mic. And playing by yourself makes it a lot harder when 4 man ship suprises you when you are trying to find chests.

    I'm so sad that because of this issue I cant play this game.

    Did you change your in-game setting as well. Also, PC has push to talk with the Left Alt key I think. Might be one thing your missing.

    Edit: Ignore the push to talk portion, you said your mic works and I am an idiot.

    I had to change a setting under privacy to allow apps to use the mic and then go into the Xbox app to make sure that the mic was set up properly there before it would let me use mine. Leave it to Microsoft to complicate mic use.

    I had to make sure my headset was chosen as the "default communications device" in the windows 10 audio options.

    It’s buggy as heck on Xbox. I don’t know if your using it or not. Yesterday I finally gave up and went to party chat cause I could only hear some things. Like I could hear one crewmate in game chat but not the other one. I could see the “talking icon” but nothing. Then one crew mate was super loud and the other was so quiet I couldn’t even hear him but everyone else could hear each other normally. Then... and this was the worse.... I couldn’t hear my crew at all but I could hear other crews as they were moving in to attack....

    For now I’m just gonna stay outta game chat until they fix it and stay in party chat.
