Are you planning on releasing a Steam version aswell?
Steam version
Yeah, unlikely. Such a shame. My ignorant guess is that Microsoft chipped in substantially for the development budget in order to secure exclusive access.
With luck this game will be a smashing success, and Rare will be financially strong enough to avoid tying their work to the woeful Microsoft Store in future.
But if there is wiggle room in whatever evil contracts have been signed .... getting the game on steam would definitely do wonders for game sales.

@rothsper Microsoft owns Rare so they not only chipped in a lot, they chipped in everything.
Ahh thanks for letting me know. It's a shame that the Microsoft Store is so poor.
@rothsper Oh yeah, it's terrible. The only benefit I've had with the Microsoft store is my download speeds are hitting 70mbps while on Steam I hit 7mbps at most.

Try and change your download region in the Steam settings. Pick either your country or the neighboring one.

Oh thanks for the advice, but speed isn't my gripe:
- Game files are locked away in inaccessible folders, drastically limiting troubleshooting options.
- Can't toggle what to run in admin mode and what not too (at least I can't figure it out).
- Platform requires multiple, confusing cross links and permissions.
- Platform is installing Apps requested on my system, I don't want Skype ... (Mod Edited).
- To run SoT atm I needed to use the MS Store, the Xbox App and the Xbox insider App.
It feels like I am having to let MS get it's hooks into my system in ways I only half understand to play this game.

facepalm No. Read the speeds more carefully. On Steam you get 7MB/s. That's capital B, for Bytes. 7 Megabytes. On Windows Store you get 70Mb/s. That's lower case b, for bits. 70Mb is roughly equivalent to 7MB. You get the same speed on both.
@xxdemon-llamaxx So basically you're saying it's not a PC Game, but it's a PC game. Hmm. Nice logic, but you're right about one thing, it won't show up on Steam any time soon, or ever.
