Double crews on the same ship

    So I come from a log list of open world PvP games, and I have enjoyed being the villain in everyone of them.

    I have also seen posts asking for larger ships... but what is to stop you from combining two crews on the same ship?? I do understand that only the real crew of the ship can man the cannons and so on, but couldn’t a second crew board a single ship and become the boarding team for that ship?

    Yes, two different ships maybe more powerful because you would have two sets of cannons, but I’m sure the other team would not expect a second team as a boarding party to slice everyone up as you had a full crew manning the ship.

    Oh, it is going to be so good to be a pirate.

    Ok then :) now we are getting somewhere!!

    So... really we already have ships that can man crews larger then 4 peoole. With the use of out of game voice chat we can pull together larger crews on the same ship.

    I can hear the cry’s already. The tears will be epic.

    @roughmonkey0 From what I've heard you can't que into a server with a group of more than 4, so you couldn't consistently play with the same crew.

    This maybe true... but after awhile you will get your hard core PvP players that will know who each other are. When they get in the same server they will group up for sure.

    Any system that can be used so people can ruin other player days will be used for sure. As soon as you say “open world PvP” you have invited the worst of the worst to make sure it happens.

    Nothing stops you from leaving your ship and joinning other crew to cooperate together, only problem is, when you get the chests be careful by spliting the benefits btw the crews. For example:

    I am with my crew of 4 pirates, and I decided to cooperate with another ship. Before talking gentlely my crew could jump into the other ship and leave our ship into an outpost, then look for treasures, hunt skeletons or trade things. Once we collect everything we want, make sure if we got 10 chets, then 5 for your crew 5 for my crew should be exchanged in the outpost.

    I pretty believe nothing stops you from doing this. The difficult thing is:

    1. End up with another crew of "Friends"
    2. The ship left behind can be a small disadvantge for the crew that left her behinf.
    3. Definetly if they are not Friends this can goes completely wrong.

    @blinxesp thank you, this clears up a lot. In the scenario I am talking about, no one would care about splitting treasure, it would be about taking everyone else’s and stopping them from getting more and who cares if anyone cashes them in or not.

    Just realize there are groups of guys that do not care if they get in game prizes. The prize they are looking for is people texting them hate mail or talking c**p to them in voice chat. They live for it.

    @roughmonkey0 Well, yes, let's see how things turn out, but my experience so far has been great. Till the point that even in some sesions we cross one big ship we say hi and we keep moving. I play music when approaching another ship just to let them see I come in song of peace. I will shout "peace" when they get close. And well... every sesión is different.

    I remember one hahaha, a small ship just stop in front of our big ship in the harbour of one outpost, it was hilarious. He or she just standed there, infront of our cannons, and we were not doing anything, just talking about our next mission. We started to say, "we will not shoot you, we are just going away now, peace!." After a minute of silence where we were doing our business in the ship and discussing where to go next, that little ridiculous ship started to shoot at us. hahahahaha he only could shoot one cannon ball, we destroyed it in less tan 15 seconds with our cannons. And of course, after that offense movement of him we stole the things he had on the ship when was sunken.

    As an example I want to say. If you go for a fight be careful. If you go nice and cool I think it is the best way.

    @blinxesp, I do see what your says, but in a system where everyone has the same guns and ships I can’t see any people I would be playing with saying things like “peace”.

    We would hoarde up as many ships/people as we can and attack everyone in our path no mater what.

    I’ll have to see how it really works when I get in game, but anybody I would play with would get board in a day or two if it was “ hey guys let’s hang out and be nice to everyone.”

    @roughmonkey0 Another thing to consider if you have two crews you can also just both man both of your ships around as a group. There is a case for it and boarding the same ship. Hope this helps.

    @roughmonkey0 in one of the alpha sessions i had this happen with like 3 crews it is completely possible the only thing is if you die you get sent back to your own ship.
