Question on Sea of Thieves
@the-poet-gq lol I think that’s every ones book my friend. But honestly every one I have known that’s played the games LOVES IT!
The alpha went on for a long time and a lot of people got to play and you can see all those players. They are still just excited to play as us newbies who have not had a chance yet. This is not a game your going to get sick of in 30 days.
All I can say is welcome to your new hobby

@zombie-p1ague I hope so because no man sky epic failed in my book
Well in NMS, you had an indie developer in over their heads and overpromising the world (or universe in their case) and failing horribly to deliver on that.
In SoT, you have a AAA first-party developer with over 30 years proven experience making unique and fun games/play experiences!
Even if every piece of content some people wish to be "in-game" at launch doesn't make it in at that time, this is a "game as a service" title with a current roadmap out to the end of next year, so the game will continue to grow and expand. And get even better with age (like a fine
winegrog)! You can see the devs love, excitment and commitment to their game in everything they do and broadcast out to us! And while I'm sure some of that was also true of the devs of NMS while on their quest to game release, there is just no way to compare the two.
SoT is in a fantastic position right now, with a beta getting ready to fire up next week and a full release not much further out that will include extra goodies that they are holding back to keep as surprises! And a future dev cycle where we can expect to see the game only get better and better!
Get onboard and get excited 'cause...
It's a good time to #bemorepirateChapman does say sailing around the whole world could take 6-8 hours (although that might include stop-offs at ports, fights, etc.). What we do know is that it will be entirely seamless (no Destiny planet-hopping here), and it won’t be an endless blue-ocean-and-palm trees landscape: “There are different regions,” Chapman explains, “regions that have different feels, like classic Caribbean, lush wilderness with ancient civilisations, or ones that feel more barren. Regions that convey different emotions and you feel like you’ve been on that seamless journey, that you’ve travelled a long distance.”
@the-poet-gq lol im right there with you, I know how you feel. But you have to admit how long has it been since you been this hyped up about a new IP? For me it’s been a really omg time.
