Trying to sum this up because of the horrible lack of paragraphs making it unreadable.

1. Pure PvE Servers
2. Doubloon cap looks awful
3. No event calendar

 

ad 1) most terrible thing that could ever come to this game; without fighting or even the possibility that it could happen, you associate no value with your treasure. You can do most of the game's content in Safer Seas. No shame in playing that. With Custom Seas coming in S20, the possibility to do "no PvP multi-ship servers" is also on the table.

ad 2) If the aesthetic of a virtual number affects your interest in playing a game, you should maybe take a break (from the game or gaming in general). Before the reset, grinding doubloons wasn't worth it, too.

ad 3) There's the News Site with "This Month" pages, you can subscribe to the #announcement channels on the Discord server, or check your voyage table in-game or follow any content creator that'll inform you about updates.

rare.... please... its 2026.

Players, it 2026, get out of your safe spaces and look around the forums. There about 10 already post people asking for other pirates to play with, group up with.

golds not a problem

Is this for Vets, or those who dont play alot, unable to play, get sunk and can't play. The free gold isnt just for you.

beyond dumb to have a limit to how much wealth a PIRATE can accrue.

Rare items should be rare and not unlimited. You wanna have endless supply and NO reason to spend it again? That was silly thing to see every day. Oh look 100 DB....not gonna spend it.

limit to how many voyages we can even get during these silly weekenders

Someone didnt see the last video, they are gonna start adding more ways to get doubloons not just weekends, and limited voyages. Keep up with the press.

I agree with @MrPalmerDixon here, you start off mentioning this isn't "Care Bears" ocean adventure, and you lecture the reader without reminding folks that if their number one excuse is toxicity, they should record and report the toxicity to Rare, who will deal with those being toxic. Everytime I remind players of this, they respond with, "Oh, well, I mean, they came over and sunk me, so ummm, I don't know if I can really report them for that," and they see for themselves how sinking others in this game, isn't toxic.

Then you start discussing doubloons. I have some issues with that area myself, so I'm curious to read.....wait, now it's about how getting a gold login bonus every month is even more insulting? ...wait, now it's about shifting into a rotating event calender, and why is the calender on Rarethief, and why doesn't this site have an events calender? ....wait, you complain Rare might still use fax machines, get with the times (they probably use Xerox machines too by the way), "let us be greedy pirates with massive amounts of treasure (when did treasure become a thing here, and who's stopping you from accruing a massive amount of it?), and what graph is Rare ruining our fun for?

Really hard keeping up here when you start out with doubloons, and we end up not being able to get massive amounts of treasure due to a graph.
