Hourglass bug.

  • Was in a solo hourglass match, and this guy does the “Run away and grapple board” strat. Well this time he manages to just park at a fort and one ball me from the stairs. After which he boards, anchors me infront of his cannon, and goes back to his ship. I spawn in, raise anchor, but when I go to lower sails it just…raises slowly? I wasn’t rigging balled, so I checked to make sure the mast wasn’t broken (it wasn’t) but it wouldn’t let me repair it, it just stuck the wood on and immediately peeled it off. The guy grapple boards through the back of my ship, kills me, then I sank. Has anyone else experienced this? It couldn’t have been lag, there was no warning, and no rubber banding or stuttering….i was also able to use wheel and raise anchor just fine, and cannon. I provided a clip below…

  • Doesn’t sound like a hourglass bug. Just a ship bug.

  • Im rather new to the forums, is there anyway to revise the title so it’s not misleading then? I never encountered this bug outside hourglass so I didn’t know if somehow it was a correlation.

The wheel at the bottom right hand side lets you edit a post, perhaps also the title ?

For bug reporting, you should submit a ticket: support.seaofthieves.com/requests/new

Forums could be useful for perhaps a way to fix it in a session - lots of things can be fixed by going to the ferry (though that would not be useful while in a fight 😁), not sure about this one.

  • Says I must wait 3600 seconds after posting to edit it but I can edit the title. I also did file a bug report for this but I wanted to know if it wasn’t just me that had this exotic issue, or if there was a way to handle it. I tried to reverse search my issue and as of now nothing has came up forum wise (yeah, though with the amount of times I get one balled I think I visit there enough😆).
