I got sea of thieves a year ago. I have had many sessions and a bit over 200 hours. I never recall a time where my fps was low. Throughout the entirety of my playtime I was getting probably around 80 frames. I forgot what day it happened exactly but the past few days I have been getting less than 20 frames and a pop up top left saying "unstable connection". I tried lowering my graphics in game but it did nothing. I reinstalled the game and it did nothing. My graphics card was up to date but i rolled back an update just now as i am typing this because the update was around the time where my game started having this problem. earlier today when i was playing SoT (after i reinstalled) with my friend we were sailing for a bit and every so often my frames would drop. i would start out with 80 when we spawned in then it dropped to 60 then 40 then eventually 15 frames
low fps
Hi! I have exactly the same problem. I've been playing for about a year, haven't played for 3 months. Since Monday and until now during half an hour of play the fps drops from 110 to 19.. Drivers are updated, changing graphics settings does not help, also writes "unstable connection" with a normal internet connection. So far nothing helps :(
@swankestemu3932 Hello!
I looked for some solutions to the problem and switching DirectX in the game from version 12 to 11 helped, as well as expanding the swap file to reduce the load on RAM: for my RAM (16 gb) initial size 16384, maximum 20480. Now the fps does not fall below 110, and also does not fall below 90 during battles and storms.
Hope it helps :)
