SoT MMO

  • I know this is far fetched but, I see SoT as a really good MMO. If there was a player market for special items, more involved community events where everyone can participate together, player housing etc, I think this game would grow even more than it has.

After playing this game since launch, the last few years have felt the same. Do a quest, get money. The tall tales are quite bland in my opinion and it takes long with no reward factor in there.

I think adding community events and switching to a community oriented game, I think this can be wonderful. Really pushing for guild organization and personal development.

  • This would require an entire rebuild of the game.

  • @d3adst1ck at this point they might as well lol, its been the same game for years with miniscule addons in updates. Nothing makes me want to stay in the game. I try every few years and its just the same.

    Yet here you are. XD

I see the current game as a MMO but even if it enters the world of same WoW level. Nobody will like it and it be such an easy game. No challenges that push players. Everything be simple as two steps and you got OP weapon

  • @burnbacon there would be a way and that would require community feedback. You have to balance the game properly but unfortunately Rare doesn't think of players anymore.

To your comment saying "and yet here you are", yeah positing in a feedback and suggestions thread, whats your point? I care deeply about the game. I just shared an idea that I personally would enjoy and know some others too. Maybe you wouldn't but just an idea.

  • @blackbeard7706 tbh I kinda like this, it'd be a change, which is different than anything we've seen in 3 years, like I stopped playing sot bc it was so dry, I play rust of all games, RUST has become more interesting than this bc they actually update the game and add things that players want.

  • @blackbeard7706

In a pvpve game, what kind of community events were you thinking about, that wouldn't turn into a PvP fest? I honestly don't see the point of player housing. I log on and gather supplies to sail and see what the day brings me, not hang around in a building doing nothing.

  • What you want to do is play a different game. You are saying you want to play SoT but you want all the gameplay mechanics to be entirely different. That's not playing SoT.
