Get rid of trinket angling

  • What is the point of trinkets getting knocked out of place and needing to be adjusted? All it does is make them look worse and it adds nothing other than annoyance, similar to the morrows peak volcano, and similar to the morrows peak volcano, it should be removed. If I wanna change my trinkets why do I have to adjust them first? It seems like a feature that they thought sounded cool and no one stopped it from going to the live game.

  • @potatosord I agree it seems like the most useless feature ever added

  • @potatosord i too do agree, i think they thought it would add immersion, but it adds annoyance

It’s the “realism” effect for being out on the sea and having something knock things out of place.

It is as some want “something to do” on your ship. Simple but silly

  • @burnbacon There are plenty of things to do. Drink grog, play shanties, cook meat, sort loot. Re-centering my trinkets is not something I care about. 99% of the time I will never re-center them. I bet most players don't either. As well, other players added that having to keep track of the positions and do animations for that many trinkets probably adds a lot of unnecessary server load. The sloop alone has over 20 trinket slots, so they have to keep track of the orientation of 20-100+ trinkets at any time on every server at the same time. How much unnecessary load is that, especially when we know for a fact that trinkets heavily impact load times based on how they would affect the game before and that you load in faster with no trinkets on your ship.

  • If it had a detrimental effect on performance then sure, get rid of it.

Other than that I don't mind it and it gives me something to do while waiting for my food to cook.
Can I do a full circuit of tidying before these merfruit burn...?

  • The Volcano at Morrow's Peak should be turned back on.

MP should be a spawn point of they leave it off.

Don't like trinket angles? Don't trinket...

  • @th3-tater "Don't like an annoying useless feature of the game? Don't interact with the feature it's attached to that is related to the only unlocks in the entire game."

Yup, that's definitely the right answer. I don't like an annoying thing that no one likes and because I don't like that annoying thing, I should totally disengage from literally the only unlocks in the game, cosmetics. If I want my ship to look like anything other than a bland t u r d, I am going to use them. My point is far more valid than yours. You don't even address the server load part of it, which is single handedly more important than any of the rest of it.

The MP volcano was turned off because people with more information and intelligence than you took the time to look at what they had and considered how (un)important it was to have that volcano active.
