Ocean Crawler Curse

  • Suggestion: Ocean Crawler Curse for "A Pirate's Life" Tall Tales
    Overview:
Introduce an Ocean Crawler Curse as a reward for mastering the A Pirate’s Life tall tales. This would function similarly to the Gold and Skeleton Curses—transforming the player’s appearance and offering cosmetic variety tied to gameplay milestones.
    Unlock Requirements:
Base Curse Unlock: Complete all five A Pirate’s Life Tall Tales five times each, similar to the Skeleton Curse requirement.
Commendation Cosmetics: Unlock unique limbs and head variants by completing associated commendations (e.g., finding all journals, defeating Sirens/Ocean Crawlers, completing tales without dying).
    Acquisition Location:
The Castaway at Castaway Camp becomes the NPC vendor for this curse.
A new ritual area opens after all Tall Tales are completed multiple times.
    Curse Design & Inspiration:
Instead of directly copying in-game Ocean Crawlers, the design would be inspired by the creatures seen in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series:
    Examples of Variant Parts:
Jellyfish Arms – Bioluminescent tendrils that glow faintly in dark areas.
Pufferfish Head – Round, spiny, and expressive with idle inflation animation.
Hammerhead Shark Head – Wide, double-eyed view; gives an intimidating silhouette.
Coral-Twisted Leg – Resembles driftwood and coral formations.
Barnacle Chestplate – A shell-covered torso that pulses like a living reef.
    Gameplay Impact:
Cosmetic Only – Like other curses, this change is purely visual.
Immersive Story Connection – This curse ties deeply into the lore of A Pirate’s Life, rewarding those who brave the Sea of the Damned repeatedly.
    Bonus Idea:
A "Davy Jones' Curse" variant could unlock after finishing all commendations for the Tall Tales, giving players the iconic look of Jones himself—with a tentacle beard, claw arm, and barnacle-encrusted outfit.

What... You don't get the skeleton curse from beating any tall tale. You get the ashen bones COLOUR for doing HoF with the skeleton curse on, but that's just for a colour, not the skeleton curse as a whole. Secondarily, the requirement to complete every tall tale 5 times is one of the LARGEST complaints from the community to do with ANY tall tale stuff. The vast majority of players I know with the gold curse have used the checkpoint cheese to get it, and I personally haven't even taken the time to finish the last 16 plays I have to do to get it. I went from level 0-120 in servants and 0-55 in guardians before I finished the gold curse. Why would this curse need a ritual to obtain it? The only reason the hourglass curses have ritual is because they are important to the lore of the game and because it needs to feel like you accomplished something at the end of a couple hundred hours of PVP grinding. The "davy jones" curse would be redundant, you can already get the davy jones costume in the emporium.

Asking for something, many hated just for the Gold Curse.
