Remove platform exclusivity on cosmetics

  • I really see no reason for keeping different cosmetics exclusive to different platforms, and especially the Black Dog set for me personally.

Other sets like the Ferryman Set — which was also platform-exclusive and part of an early promotion — are available on PlayStation. Sets like Onyx and Obsidian are also usable cross-platform, despite their similarly limited origins.

So why is the Black Dog Set treated differently? People have earned this set. It’s tied to their Xbox account. And now that you’re playing on a PS5, you’re suddenly being punished for using a different platform in a cross-platform game?

This inconsistency makes zero sense and feels like a slap in the face to long-time, loyal players. Pretty much, if someone owns a “platform exclusive” cosmetic, they should be able to use it — regardless of platform.

  • I believe this is a legal issue decided by the console makers, on both sides. Might be seen as promotion of a competitor on one of Xbox’s biggest and consistently promoted GamePass titles.

  • Why not ask the same questions to Sony?

Because, honestly, it reeks of Sony-mandated legal stipulations.
