Let's just say "frigate" and get this over with.

  • I would very much appreciate it if you would add, or at least allow us to obtain, as the prize of an event, a frigate. If it is added regularly, I think you should not be allowed to charter, it must bought and captained, and only available once you become a pirate legend for, say, 650k to 800k gold. The frigate would ideally be in similar, if not the same size as the black pearl model. Thank you for your consideration.

I dig the pun, but what would the frigate consist of? More players and cannons I’m guessing?

    I'd hope not.
A ship that changes game balance via more gun or more players being locked behind Captaincy and PL would be unfair as hell.

It would be comfortably ran with 4-8 players, and would hopefully have somewhere from 5-7 cannons from each side, I suppose. Three masts, as standard for many ships, and two spot for a rowboat. Perhaps even side-docking along with back-docking rowboats spots. If my idea is accepted, I would like it to not be a world even or tall tale like The Burning Blade or the Black Pearl. It would probably have 3 deck layers, like the Galleon, the bottom deck being the brig and gally/supplies, while the middle deck also would have cannon windows. The downside to this is that despite being devoid of damage at the cannon windows, they fill up with water at the same rate as a maximum damage hole in the ship, so you have to bucket consistently, and watch the water level closely. This would also make the cursed cannonball which causes your ship to ride lower, more dangerous, which is hopefully enough negative factors to balance out with the positives.

  • @guildar9194 well... I see your point there, and I agree. But I is want big boat. This is coming from someone who accidentally won a fight while solo-sailing a Galleon, against a full-crew galleon. They also had reaper sails, and as I've recently discovered, is a big deal...

  • As things are you can barely get together a crew of 4 to man a gally.

You seem like a capable sort of chap, why don't you get control of a BB and call it a day?! Seems easier that cluttering the servers with an 8 men crew.

Sounds like it will be not balanced in game with other ships.

I think the current ships are balanced enough and is all that's needed.

Anything for more than 4 players is going to be a nightmare, picturing 4 players trying to board one enemy ship while the other 4 players run the ship.

and two spot for a rowboat.

Two rowboats on it = two more harpoons or cannons.

  • @metal-ravage a BB?

  • @metal-ravage Nevermind, I realized. And also, I suck at this game, I'd probably crash the burning blade and keep forgetting to bucket and end up sinking myself.
