Happy to report barrels of plenty are now surfacing correctly but hourglass is still broken with infinite black screens.
After hotpatch hourglass is still broken

So. Hourglass is broken (instant pvp)
But are you able to load into the game and sail around the map, attacking ships like normal??
Attacking random ships in adventure will surely be rewarding for those who want to get allegiance. (it won't)

Each time you have some of the worst takes, it's kind of incredible how you keep this act up after years.
Nobody wants to waste time in adventure chasing a ship just to shoot 10 cannonballs, them staring at you begging not to sink them and going about your day to repeat the exact same thing over and over again, until you find someone that is on the same page of PvP willingness.
AND even if you do fight and sink them/yourselve the down time to find another opponent can literally be hours I'm not even over-exaggerating either. Swabbies don't like it (Some genuinely quit the game over it) and Actual PvP'ers don't want to experience that either, it's a lose-lose scenario. This already was a very Common experience when Arena got shut down and HG wasn't released yet. So PvPers bled into adventure:
Actual PvP players would sail for hours and not get a fair fight for even days (Because I was one of those players) That played during that years gap or so until HG finally came around. Was by far one of the most boring experiences ever. 9/10 players in Adventure just refuse to fight, or don't even offer a fair skilled fight which BTW There's nothing wrong with that one bit. It's just a fact.
I bought Sea of Thieves initially for that balanced PvEvP experience as marketed but quickly found that adventure is mostly just very player avoidant (PvP).
And Arena/HG filled in that void nicely so I wouldn't have to bother and annoy players in adventure that didn't want any of it.
