I consider myself a Commendation Completing Completionist but don't see the excessive frustration at finding this loot to be rational. The Hunter's Call is now a legit trading company. They're only requiring what, 50 of each new item to be sold to complete each of these comms? That's a very low number and I'm honestly disappointed it's not higher.
Consider a comparison to other trading company comms, like GH which requires upwards of 200 of each item turned in. I've got 3,000 hours in game and only JUST finished my 200/each chicken, pig, snake, plant etc deliveries, of which I'm proud of.
The new Hunter's Call commendation's required loot numbers honestly should've been higher. There's nothing fancy for completing them all- even their ledger doesn't have anything new this period. The Wild Seas curse is what everyone's rushing to get, and that's unrelated to the turning in of this loot pool.
The regular Megs' new loot is meant to be collected gradually and naturally unless you're grinding the new Meg Hunting voyage. I agree you should constantly get at least one grisly tooth or scale with each emergent encounter, but the pristine stuff should be more rare. It shouldn't even show up with krakens. There's not much to look forward to collecting once you've completed most of this game so I'm excited to have something to seek and try to challenge myself to get.
The wild boars are a bit frustrating and I get it, but I think they just need to spawn in a more consistent way. I don't like that they only spawn on random islands since Hunter's Call voyages and actions take place at sea, so you really have to spend a ton of extra time just visiting huge island if you're looking for them.
I've already got my curse and completed the earlier HC loot comms so I've been looking for the emergent boars and have only found 2 today, and accidentally I might add. People have been figuring out strategies to find them faster so that info is out there with a quick Google, but AGAIN, it's clear that the hunters call loot comms are not meant to be grinded out because then what are you going to work for towards Hunter's call? Nothing.
That would have been like starting the game and saying I need to go grind Marauders chests as a gold hoarder, or plants as a merchant. Take a breath and instead of getting let it fuel and guide your next voyage.
