So for one I would like to say I do like the new Megs that are in, However there are still the same bugs as prior to this update, which happens to be Flipping you boat upside down and making the players glitch through the boat and go into the water reguardless if you are lower deck or above. Twice now I have sank due to this bug, glitch which has now resulted in me not wanting to even fight the new meg encounters. Also they seem a little bit OP even for a two man sloop. Fireing over 90+ cannon balls into a fish seems a little "fishy".
New Meg Encounter
bugs aren't fun to play through but the difficulty is alright imo.
Often things are called too difficult before people gain the experience and figure out the best strats.
Imo none of it's op. People are already farming them successfully.
What really makes them difficult is being contested or playing like I do and not supping.
As time goes on people are gonna get contested less and less so that will be a lot easier and people can always choose to supp up well.

Yeah, and I PRAY! they keep this feature. Maybe tweak it down but I love having my ship hit so hard it flips like it does, makes the dangers so much more thrilling.
I feel the same, honestly. Just fought a coral meg as part of a brig crew. And we got flipped and thrown into the water twice. I thought it made for a more challenging/thrilling encounter. Kinda more realistic, too, when you think about it.
But if the ship had been launched in to space, or clipped out the bottom of the world (and other glitches like what happened in previous seasons) then I would have been a bit upset.
@revrandom Yeah, keep it realistic and that's fine.
A meg would absolutely knock a boat for a loop, but you wouldn't get glitched through solid wood and the boat shouldn't go into space.
