I still think it'd be a great idea. Just a small hope of mine. I understand that some people like it, and some people don't. It's around 50/50 in the community, with 25% of the first 50 probably thinking it doesn't actually exist lol. I like the idea since I'm a completionist.
I've hunted megs just about every day for a very long time. I've seen and killed ghosts. It's entirely fair to say that I had my time in the game. That's true. I have had my time in the game and I'm not owed anything.
To me the question is, why rob those that haven't lived those adventures yet? For what? the same thing that happened to the box of secrets? Some twitter likes? a completion screenshot? How is that worth taking it away from others?
The ghost has always been a status buster. Those in the cliques never had control over it and it always could happen to anyone. Someone with very little could have the shrouded ghost kill.
As vocal as I have been about the organic experience and not cheesing this game, it's not me that loses from the significance being removed, I already experienced it. Many have not, those are the ones that lose out every time something is turned into just another common screenshot, another common tale, another check off the list of stuff to show off about.
There has to be conservation and preservation in this adventure experience or it's just some game to toss aside after a few hours, another giant game to uninstall for more space on the hard drive.
