hello everyone I do a lot of PvP on sea of thieves especially in Hg, however I'm losing my hair because I find that there are lots of problems in this game mode even if I love sea of thieves and fights them by boat. I mainly do Solo Sloop and I find it a shame that at times the fights take a very long time because the guy spends his time running away from the fight... it happens to me several times where the guy goes around the map without ever fight and in the end I give up due to lack of time. on top of that I find PvP not dynamic enough when we now see the games that work best, with a decent number of players it's a lot of multiplayer games where people come and play a game and can leave.. notably Fortnite Warzone valorant etc.. I think there would be a way to bring more people in if it was a PvP system something like this. I like the combat system on 6 it has nothing to complain about I think but it's more in the boat preparation system too where you take 20 minutes to prepare your boat. then you fail for 20 minutes, you lose and you haven't won anything. which quickly creates frustration and therefore doesn't make me want to play personally

As someone who regularly expressed frustration with the desync issues, lack of content, and bugged matchmaking/lobbies in Arena... and then played Arena almost every day... I empathize lol.
... Yes… but not always. Some people do hourglass purely for fun. I wouldn’t exactly say I’m one of those people, but it’s not all the bad imo if you know what you’re doing.
@narkotipe It's just a matter of finding what works for you and what you are best at. If solo HG hasn't worked so far try it with a crew, if the ship's size, power and speed are not to your advantage try to change the ship etc...
There are choices to be made and different tactics to employ until you find what suits you best.
@burnbacon Being that the context of the post is about hourglass running, do you think your previous comment is relevant?

Yeah not always, which is why I said "most". Solo, it's pretty painful most of the time. I got my curses in both factions in Season 8 and have only occasionally touched it since then when I'm feeling an itch. After about 3-4 matches I'm reminded why I quit grinding it. It just stopped being fun to grind. Here and there it's fun, but it's just not fun for long stretches or consecutive days (or weeks) for me anymore.
@narkotipe I couldn't agree more to this post, perhaps one of main reasons I made post that hourglass needs changes (shrink zone over time, lower spawn locations to 10-15 instead and only open sea). I used to play a lot of solo sloop, but in last few seasons its unplayable, everytime I get either someone way under my skill level that keeps running away for even hour sometimes and calling me cheater, tdmer that spams board and turns his ship away and runs away if I don't want to tdm or I get cheater, rarely any normal games on sloop whatsoever.

For instance - I could now start yapping about PvP tips and strategies. Unfortunately, I rarely do PvP, and basically never HG. So I won't do that.
I can however grasp why so many people have issues with the current state of HG. Absolutely.

Regarding HG, you know it's in a bad state when a whole particular community have quit the game because of it's state.For instance - I could now start yapping about PvP tips and strategies.

Wasn't even my intention to actually give any, cuz it wouldn't make sense on this topic. Which was exactly the point. However, since the first part is now redacted thanks to our good ol' mod friend, the entire reply makes no sense.
