I feel like sometimes I've died without seeing that I had previously taken damage (like get shocked that I die to one blunder). Between all the various banners and notifications you can get it can also distract from this info during fight so I'd rather have it pinned prominently (I have turned off milestone and guild notifications)
Option to have health bar up at all times

Pretty sure the health bar is usually visible if you are hurt unless something else obstructs it.
I think I disabled island banners because the slimline wasn't slim anymore on my settings.I think he's primarily talking about the second part - something obstructing the health bar. I like that it disappears when you aren't injured but it should be drawn on top of everything else if it is visible.
Yeah the part where anything else obstructs the health and ammo bars at any given time should have been solved like year one.
I honestly do no get why it is such a hard request to get trough.
Recent example:
My crew and i where crewing the Burning blade and due to several attacks we where low on skeletons and we still had another enemy crew to deal with.Of course they board to get the final skeletons dead,
We on the other Hand where desperate to replenish our skeletons and thus since we where close to a skelly camp i went down and quickly do the ritual.
Upon completion an obnoxious banner gets presented crew wide meaning my crewmates now didnt have any idea what their health was while having boarders on board, and some of them got killed due to it.
2 simple solutions:
1 - make health and ammo bars overlap all other HUD items-or-
2 - since we already had this debate with island banners, stop making the obnoxiously large overtaking banners and make everything in the style of slimline banners.

Over time. Playing enough, you have your health arm memorized and know how much damage you take without your eyes shifting downward.
What is a health arm?
Over time. Playing enough, getting to learn about hitreg, why would you even try to memorize your HP?
In the heat of any hectic battle, there is absolute ZERO chance for you to know/memorize your exact HP % as you are taking damage from all the different weapons, blunderbuss pellets, blunderbomb- and cannon splash damage.
@kashmero so it is worth knowing some numbers. There's a reason mango or pineapple is seen as pvp food. Sniper does 70% damage and mango heals 50% so if you eat a pomegranate which heals 40% you would still be one shot to a sniper.
Once you factor in splash damage from cannon fire though it goes out the window

Are you arguing against your initial post, or am I missing something?
Unless you are fighting a 1v1 and/or shots are being exchanged slower for various reasons, knowing the different projectiles damage and healing values only gets you so far.
In a chaotic close quarter combat situation with multiple players both friendly and enemies all shooting at once, you have no clue what projectile actually hit you.
At that point your best option is to guzzle down 100HP heals and hope for the best until the HP bar becomes visible again.@kashmero nah, it's just despite burnbacon contradicting for the sake of it I admit sometimes there is truth in what he says (whether he's aware of it or not I don't know). A snipe is a general thing to be aware of. You should never die to a snipe unless you've been hit twice quickly in succession.

Please, please, please, Rare, do something about voyage completion, chapter completion, event completion, and any other banners hiding the health bar. It's just incredibly daft that we're over half a decade into the game and it's still a thing.
Just give us an option to turn them off. Should be a pretty quick thing to add. And I don't understand why anyone would argue against such feature.
Selling hours worth of treasure to sovereigns leaves you annoying 5 minute long lasting banners reminding you of what you literally just sold minutes earlier.
I understand this feature for 2018 Sea of Thieves, where selling treasure was super slow. By the time you made it back to your ship to grab another piece, the pop-up was gone.
Now it's just unnecessary screen clutter that I'd like to disable.
