Can we PLEASE get voyages for delivering crates of cannonballs, fruit, wood, and gunpowder barrels. I have completed all but 12 commendations in the entire game, these are shrouded ghost, ancient terror 50 times, delivery voyages, and some gift related commendations (also some new commendations added this season). The only way to get progress on delivery commendations is to get a voyage for them from a bottle quest or mysterious journal. I can say right now that completing these commendations which require you to deliver 50 of each type of crate and 100 gunpowder barrels (you get one 1 crate/barrel per bottle quest voyage) are nearly impossible to do organically. I have quite literally gotten 4 pages of bottle quests before getting a single delivery voyage. these commendations being so impossible is especially annoying as there are xbox achievements linked to them. Can we please get a reduction on the amount of crates and barrels we have to deliver for these comms or a better way to progress them such as a merchant delivery voyage you can vote for instead of relying on getting lucky from a bottle quest or mysterious journal.

Honestly, it should just be added to the circulation of the similar animal delivery voyages another quest I'm missing is the Ashen key voyage from Larina because skeleton ships still spawn with locked Ashen chests and the Ashen guardians give both key and chest.
So the only way to get a spare Ashen key now is fishing which I only learned about yesterday when it randomly appeared while I was fishing for trophies and fish bones.@happykitten5269 I was thinking if they would just allow you to choose the quest you want to do from a set of three. Like if it gave you three, and once you completed your first one from the set, the others disappear forever. I think that would be much more fair and a simple solution to implement. I also like the solution of just adding it as a voyage you can vote on at the quest table. Something needs to be done about it though, because it's completely absurd in its current state.

The others should disappear when you pick up a crate; otherwise you'd be able to get two crates for free 😁.
No voteable voyage though - from the start it was a chance you get those voyages, mostly from barrels and bottles on islands, barrels'o'plenty and shipwrecks.
In the past, I could do three of them just sailing between Golden Sands and Sanctuary outpost at the start of a session; find one on Golden Sands to deliver at Sanctuary, fill the crate on GS and go through the barrels on Sancturay to find another one you could fill there and deliver on Golden Sands. If the barrels had respawned (or I was lucky enough to find two in one go-through) I ended up with another one.They've added more types of voyages you can find and reduced the places where you can find random quests, thus the opportunity to get them has indeed been reduced significantly.
IMHO they should
- add random voyages back to barrels;
- use the ability to get more voyages per bottle to have a chance of the crate delivery quests (or increase the chance);
- maybe add them to (or have a chance to be part of a) Merchany alliance emissary quest
Absolutely. These are way to rare. Personally I'd put a mix of them in the Merchant emissary quest, but I'd be happy with any way to get them. I'd be happy if the voyage called for more than one delivery at a time. For example a single voyage could require 2x Kegs, 1x cannonball crate and 3x wood crates. Or some combination like that, rather than just one delivery of one type at a time.
Merchant voyages and gifts were the only two long grinds that were a bit too rng based. Gifts now being the in the burning blade is a good start to remedy that. Merchants now just need a very small fix.
@happykitten5269 really? I have seen a massive increase in bottle quests giving crate deliveries. I'm sure they have tweaked the spawn rates on this a great deal.
Although my friend does have a theory that the spawns are based on your own completions, she doesn't feel she gets kingly loot digs now that she has finished that comm.

I’ve felt the opposite lol. My crew calls it the “Rare desire meter” and we say the more you want something the less likely you will get it. I get crate deliveries all the time but I’ve been finished with them for years. When I wanted maps for kingly loot I was constantly getting deliveries for crates and gunpowder. While I see people complain often they get no deliveries and haven’t seen one in seasons.
I give away my delivery quests to people who need, gave away a wood crate tonight during my short session killing small island captains. I still get delivery quests almost every session I’m out visiting islands.
