Bounty Hunter faction

    • Bounty system would allow a interesting situation. I've seen a lot of people suggest it but here is my thoughts on a bounty system. For every ship your crew sinks in a session will also raise your bounty but you have to raise a certain emissary in order to claim a bounty. Do claim a bounty all you have to do is have the bounty emissary up or flag and sink the ship of the desired bounty. This would be a new faction similar to the reapers. Getting a full emissary grade will allow you to see all bounties on the map however you can only claim one bounty and then you will have to turn in the bounty to gain your reward. The only ships that will have bounties though are Captain ships because in order to turn in the bounties you need proof that you sunk them and the best way would be by giving their log book in. Your bounty will always exist however the more your ship sinks the lower your bounty gets the more ships you sink the higher your bounty gets.

  • It might just be me, but I honestly think this won't be beneficial.
Say your a solo slooper, and another ship rocks up to you while you're on an island, but you sink them because they are newer players. But now you have a new target painted on your back in the form of this bounty system, attracting more attention to you all because you acted in self defence.

I may have missed something in your post, but if all you want to do is chill out and now you get a target painted on you for acting in self defence and succeeding, I think it may discourage open combat and encourage running. That's just me though

  • We have multiple bounty systems in place. Emissaries and BB, could even say Siren's Skull. We don't need one that targets a specific player or ship for defending themselves.

  • @theredhead5271 I noticed that you missed a key factor in what I had said in my post I had actually thought about that and that is why I made it to where it only applies to 2 crucial requirements

    1. full grade 5 emissary would only be able to find bounties
    2. Bounties can only be obtained on a captain ship
As a solo slooper you most likely will not have a high bounty compared to galleon or brigantine Crews which means they would be higher targets
  • For every ship your crew sinks in a session will also raise your bounty

Sorta a punishment for playing a pvpve game

  • @acnologia1403 oh sorry my mistake

  • @burnbacon Fair Point maybe it should only apply to sinking Captain ships as well in order to raise your bounty. That actually make more sense because that means those are crews that have a status also if you can only claim one bounty while under an emissary that would balance it out and you'd want the highest value bounty right

  • I guess my main point of this would be because and yes if you say it's cringe I'm not going to deny it.....one piece. In the series they're bounty level showed how much of a pirate really they are. But I guess then again no one in any other pirate universe was exactly immortal or came back from the dead constantly besides Barbosa
