Many are saying the Burning Blade is too OP as far as offensive and defensive abilities. I believe it's not as OP as people say since it's supposed to be a boss-level ship that makes Flameheart a greater threat than he was prior to his rez. It shouldn't be scaled to the size of the crew(s) challenging it, and it should be hard since all other aspects of the game were nerfed to allow anyone to take part, even if they're baby pirates. The one qualm is that there are no world events in conjunction with the Burning Blade. Once it's capped, it's a player-run world event. It should no longer be taking up a world event "slot." FOTD is the same way. It's player-run and is independent of the world events while being on itself. Let the Blade be the same way.
Now, many may gripe about the Burning Blade being nigh impossible. So be it. My first encounter was when it was capped by a sweat crew. It was virtually invincible, but it's a boss-level ship. If I don't like it, I can dive to a new server to do other world events or look for a fresh-spawned Blade to cap with friends. It shouldn't be easy and it shouldn't be defeated or capped with just a solo or even a duo sloop. Why? Because it's a boss-level world event that's meant to be a threat to the entire Sea of Thieves.
I will say that the Ashen Roar can seem like an instant win button. However, the question then becomes: did you get hit because you made the mistake of being in the crosshair, or were you outmaneuvered? It's not much different than a sloop ending up in the broadside of a gally. It hurts but it was from a mistake being made or being outplayed. Can it be nerfed without making the Blade less of a threat? Probably.
Final Suggestion: Make the capstan be based on crew size or gally. It's a monster ship with a capstan that's as easy to raise as a sloop's.
Hopefully in future updates, Athena gets a buffed vessel to be the equivalent of the Blade.
