It might be an idea to make refunds available for items that you purchase with gold or doubloons. For example, you could offer a few refunds per year. You could also do this with Ancient Coins.
Refunds for In-Game Items (Gold or Doubloons)
@tijn7042 in regards to gold and doubloons before you know it you will have more then you will know what to do with, i have about 62k doubloons and have nothing to spend them on and i have 20m gold and purchased everything available,’ with only a few gold based cosmetics locked behind some commendations.
Gold is so common to get that refunds would be near pointless later on, and doubloons are supposed to be very uncommon and sought after for the rarer items, so refunding kind of removes their purpose as a rare currency for rare items.
In the case of both, they are used for cosmetics that dont do really anything, so if you get something and dont like it later, or find something nicer, its not like you are missing out on anything. The only things with any uses are captained ships, which you only need 1 of every size or a gild to utilize, and supplies, which are pretty cheep.
