I and 3 of my friends play on PS5. We all live in different countries (US, Canada, Australia). All of us have major issues with the game. We experience a hard freeze, where the game display will freeze completely. Audio goes back to calm sea audio on loop. It never times out and we have to close out of and reopen the game. Usually upon loading back in we get a “network error” and are put back to the title screen to log in again.
This has improved slightly since we first started playing, but still occurs frequently when we meet other crews on the seas and sometimes during pve combat. It will be so frequent that if we take a FOF or FotD with another crew, we rarely make it back into combat before being disconnected again.
This makes things like the glitterbeard achievement nearly impossible. And alliance weekends were a real struggle for us. PVP is basically impossible with half our crew popping in and out repeatedly. It’s only been an issue for our ps5 friends, but all ps5 players we’ve encountered have experienced the same to varying degrees.
