Guild Management Tools

  • I would like to humbly suggest the following tools for guild leaders to manage their guilds:

    • Last Sailed for the Guild: On the guild roster page, a way to see the last time a captain sailed in support of the guild. As guilds get full this will allow us to see who our most loyal captains are.

    • Guild Contributions: A tool that allows guild leaders to see who is contributing the most gold/rep to the guild. Another way to see who is most active.

These two tools would help tremendously as guilds get near the max number of pirates and take the guess work out of who is sailing or not.

The guild chronicles help a bit with this, but the two tools above would be a gift from the Pirate Lord to humble Guild Leaders across the Sea of Thieves.

    Thank you for your consideration.

It would show who is the most succesful turning in, not the most active; people who play for a guild for an hour or so and then become a target because of the grade 5 flag and lose the battle might get thrown out of the guild.

People might only be part of a crew when gathering loot and leave the crew before most of it gets turned in because of IRL reasons or when they don't care about the loot.

These two tools would help tremendously as guilds get near the max number of pirates and take the guess work out of who is sailing or not.

Half information and people misinterpreting it will cause some guild drama - and guild owners blaming the tools they were given.

If people set up a guild where they expect a certain level of participation they should make that known to the guild members or recruits and take some effort into keeping in touch and if they think some people are lacking in their efforts - then they can decide whether or not they remove a player from a guild.

  • So that one super friend who takes a leave for a month or so.
Gets kicked because they werent contributing enough.

When did Guilds, created for friends/families become a Job and you will lose your job if you dont work.

  • @ixxxoloff Please elaborate. Where are they?

  • How do these guild management tool threads keep turning into a macro-debate on judging people based on real-life and contributions?

If someone needs to take a leave of absence due to real-life, of course grace will be given. Especially if they communicate it with guild leadership.

And if we tell pirates that being active is a part of guild membership, but we have no way to measure said activity, how are we to manage the guild when it is full?

This isn't a cold-hearted request. This is a request for tools to help us know if members are actively sailing and contributing.
