I'll try to avoid the emporium aspect of this. I think a cool update would be if when in a storm the curse is constantly activated so you go full thor mode with fully lit at all times.
Storm curse
Curses in the emporium are weird, curses should be obtained by doing something repetitively until you’re cursed.
Stone curse: destroying 250 siren statues
Storm curse: Surviving 200 lightning strikes
New curses could be added for many other things, I’m not sure why the emporium is getting cosmetics that really only make sense to earn.
@tek-lt I do agree. I feel certain items shouldn't be in the emporium but if you just hear me out, prehaps we can see things in a new light.
Let's not look at SoT as a game where people show of all of these rare, time limited cosmetics, and look at it as just cool outfits people show off, a pirate fashion show if you would.Let's say you're a brand new player, fresh off the maiden voyage, and you see all these cool outfits and curses and you think to yourself, "I want to get one these curses for myself", so you look up how to get some, and what you see is a list telling you that if you want to get the cool looking curses like the Gold curse, or the PvP curses, you going to have to sink tens of hours into getting them, and let's not forget the additional requirements! It's why the ashen curse is so popular, because it doesn't take much effort to get and looks cool, but is unfortunately seen as the "noob curse".
Not every player has the time or patience to grind out the same tall tales or hourglass, imagine trying to get the PvP curses and you only get a few hours a week to play. Im a student with a good bit of free time and it still took 6 months for me to get the ghost curse, now looking back I wonder why I did it in the first place.
I do hope that Rare don't put more curses behind a pay wall, but can you not see how something like the store strike curse, which is relatively cheap, allows Rare to fund the game, and doesn't have a load of commendations tied to it (and looks really cool) is something players who are new, or don't have the time to spend ages grinding commendations is more appealing?
