Cursed Cannon Ball Drops

  • When the skeleton ship fleets came out, they used cursed cannon balls. But when the ship sunk, they did not drop any. Why not add a 1/3 chance of dropping 1-3 cursed cannon balls per storage crate. They only spawn in barrels, but it would make better sense for the skeleton crews to drop them in their storage crates.

  • @thechurblurb just lookout for cannon rowboats most of them have cursed cannonballs

    As do shipwrecks

Skeleton ships would be too farmable imho

  • @callmebackdraft skelly ships are already farmable their flag shows what cursed balls they fire.... simply board an anchor ball or ballast ball galleon and unload the cursed balls from their cannons!

Cursed ball spawn rates are far too common and could be reduced IMHO

I agree with this. I think specials in general are far too common, including chains, fire, blunder and bone.

Scattershots are the only cannon ammo that make sense. They aren't overpowered (some would even argue underpowered, myself included), and so a common spawn rate makes sense.

Rare should have locked all specials behind certain activities (like sinking skelly ships), similar to how we can only acquire the phantom cannons from Flameheart/Ghost ship activities.

This makes the outcome of PvP, when specials are used, based less on RNG and lopsided luck, and based more on effort and risk/reward.

You put in the effort. You get the nice things. Then you can use them.

I shouldn't be able to loot my outpost and walk away with 20+ chains (yes this has happened at Daggertooth), while my opponents enter the fight with the 6 chains they had by default, plus the 1 they found on their outpost.

  • Too farmable. They’re supposed to be rare now because of Hourglass.

I agree with more tools, 'power weapons', and supplies having somewhat predictable sources.

We know that better ammo types often found in forts and shipwrecks, and while that's a step in the right direction they're not a guarantee and the amount that you get from them varies wildly. I've gotten 6 bone callers once on an empty fort, doing absolutely nothing. On the other hand, I loot a fort between Hourglass matches and get no chains and only fruit. Like, what?!

I would love if voyages listed both treasure and supplies as rewards, or at least hint that there could be additional 'stashes' nearby. This would actually give some meaning to the player when they're deciding what to pursue next.
