This should work after closing out the game and waiting a few minutes and then relinking your MS account.
Please be aware that the team are still investigating this issue but this workaround should get you all back on the seas.

@look-behind-you won't this delete all your progress and unlocks of the game? Deleting save date is kinda stupid in my opinion

Deleted save as per your instructions. Got the spondebeard error after trying to relink ms account...
What now?@smokenonibi Nope it will not make you lose any progress since it is linked to the Microsoft cloud. I just did it and lost nothing while being able to set sail again.
Did you get in or is there still a problem, cause I seem to be having the same issue

I had deleted save restarted system and then relinked. All has worked well on my end. All my gold and purchased items are still there.@OldManFanta
I have found the solution if yall are playing on ps5 yall just need to delete the save game data and relink ur ps and Microsoft account. It worked for me, I bet it will work for yall too, good luck and have fun :)Players have reported a temporary workaround for Kiwibeard.

I was disconnected on Tuesday around 10pm EU then Kiwi error, I followed the procedure 1x I managed to play, but this morning 11am EU same problem I redid the manipulation and new error message indicating that my account is already linked, I waited 5min to be able to link it again, do you have any information on the resolution of the problem, I do not want to redo the manipulation each time I want to play.

Y’all need to fix the game, it’s so sly and shifty that you don’t even have a warning post to players or people wanting to buy the game on ps5… you need to publicly adress problems like this instead of making your player base feel like they have been ripped off and stressing them out. I feel like iv been robbed right now. Spent $90 Australian and I. Can’t play?…
