Good day, are there any plans of adding a server here in South Africa? I started playing a few weeks ago and my latency is 200+, sometimes spiking to upwards of 500+ for a few seconds. It's sort of playable with the right VPN which seems to route me through Singapore which helps, but that's a paid service that I literally only need for this game - I'm essentially paying a monthly subscription to another company just to play this game. Would rather pay Rare and get it lower...
With the PS5 launch on the way I was hoping to get some of my console mates to join up, but there's no way I can sell the latency to them. Are there just not enough South Africans playing to warrant a server? From what I understand it was previously planned, but the only threads I can find about it are from years ago.
