FOV???

  • Human vision: "horizontal FOV of about 135 degrees and a vertical FOV of just over 180 degrees". For a majority of people it actually gives them a headache playing this game because of the low fov, its the exact same as 60 fov in minecraft, absolutely awful and dizzyness inducing

  • Rare's weirdly stubborn on this one & this thread is prob going to get locked because of their hard stance against it. Even though there are some monitors that allow for it. 🤷‍♂️

  • SOT started as an Xbox game and for a console game 60 FOV is the norm.

  • I have seen some vids from players with larger than intended FoV - it looks like [censored], besides having an unfair benefit, I understand Rare that they don't want their game to have a less than optimum look.

    Using this as a guideline assumes you are right up against the monitor with your eyeballs literally touching the screen.

    In games, the FOV is the angle formed by a triangle from both edges of the screen to your optimal viewing position. The further away you are, the smaller that angle and, therefore, FOV should be.

  • Send in the locksmiths

  • The game is designed for max 90 FoV, as such there are no plans on increasing it.
