PL & Reaper hideout thoughts. Here me out:

  • So I’m not interested in debating PvE vs PvP here, that is not what this is about, but here is my idea:

What if the interior Pirate Legend Hideout was accessible via one of two ways:

-Level 100 in Guardians of Fortune
    -Level 100 in Athena’s Fortune?

    Likewise for the Reapers Hideout:

-Level 100 for the Servants of the Flame
    -Level 100 for Reaper’s Bones

Either way this would require quite a grind for players, but the interior of the hideouts could be more accessible to everyone over time. This isn’t to suggest that some cosmetics can’t be locked behind PvP achievements (I’m fine with that) but the locations themselves I feel should be accessible to players who like PvE and players who like PvP.

    Thoughts?

  • Gosh I can’t spell. I meant “Hear me out in the title. facepalms

  • I'd be OK with it being accessible at level 500. 100 is a little too easy for one company over the other. Since Athena went from 30 to 100 and reaper went from 75 to 100. It's substantially easier to get to reaper 100 from its previous max level than to Athena 100 from its previous max level.

You can't receive the curse even when you're down there unless you've made it to 100 in their respective faction, so it's not like people will be able to get the curse an alternate way.

That said, once you've been down there one or two times it loses its appeal unless you're purchasing something or partaking in a commendation, both of which would come after getting your curse anyway. So I don't really see the need in this change.

If you want to see it personally and aren't level 100 in the faction, just ask someone to let you in. It's easy to find someone in LFG to join your crew just to open it for you.

This makes sense and I can agree with it. As for being let in, yeah I know that’s possible, but I just wondered if it seemed more reasonable to let access into those areas be based on a grind anyone would enjoy doing PvP or PvE, but let certain rewards stay the way they are.

Some people (myself included) just like to explore and I feel that could be changed without compromising how certain rewards are earned.
