The camera movement is percentually reduced while using Mouse in one of these (scenarios):
- Aiming with Cannons
- Aiming with Harpoons
- Moving across the zoomed Map
- Moving across the World Map
- Aiming with Spyglass
So, in order to make it possible to use your mouse for that, you have to set Mouse Sensitivity at a very high value, but it affects your normal character camera movement as well which has an impact on your precise movement.
So instead, usually players set Mouse Movement on lower values to achieve a better player experience from higher precision in the game.
However, by doing so, the camera movement is already slow enough and in the mentioned scenarios the camera movement is almost impossible to control using your mouse then - because of the percentage reduction from the settings.
Make the camera movement in the mentioned scenarios fixed (not affected by the Mouse Sensitivity setting) ... OR give us the option to customize it as shown in the image below (this would apply to controllers as well).

For, now there is a working workaround to use your Gaming Mouse with Sniper Button. You can set your Sniper button to increase your DPI instead of lowering it. So, you can use it then while being in the mentioned scenarios for a better aim.
Make it equal for everyone, so nobody has any advantage over others because of better gear.
This would be a huge QoL change as well (in the same manner as adding Trident in the past).
For example, when using cannons, you always want to use your mouse for a more precise aim instead of WASD. With using only WASD it is impossible to aim precisely ... and even controllers can aim more precisely than PC users without using Mouse.
